Once you've completed the main story of the game, you will be able to unlock a soundtrack option when accessing the opening menu of the game. This feature allows you to listen to the game's soundtrack at your leisure.
Completing the game will also get the Chronicle updated in your Main Menu. There will be new information available for you to peruse, all of which is marked by a star.
If you happen to load your data after completing the game, you will be sent to the part of the game just right before the final battle. This means that you can prepare more by leveling up your characters and collecting more items from unexplored places.

The Enhanced edition of the game allows players to collect trophies in the game. These trophies vary in their requirements, with some being unlocked by simply progressing the story while others need specific conditions to be acquired.
Trophy Guide and Achievements List

You can also try completing all the errands in the game, so that you can earn more rewards and gil for your party.
Additionally, you can unlock the Knight Errand of Ivalice Gold trophy for completing all the errands, so it might be worth investing some time in.

The Master of All Trades Gold trophy can be unlocked once you have acquired all jobs and their respective abilities for a single party member.
It can prove difficult, but accomplishing it will optimize your character for every situation in battle.

The Midlight's Deep Dungeon becomes available once you've made enough progress in Chapter 4. This dungeon consists of 10 floors, with each floor boasting challenging enemies and terrain that will test your party to the limit.
Progression through this dungeon will ultimately be challenging, but the items acquired from exploring the dungeon are worthwhile.
Additionally, you can also unlock the summon Zodiark and recruitable character Byblos when exploring this dungeon.

When progressing through Chapter 4, you will be able to recruit new characters by engaging with side stories available throughout the chapter.
Do note that some of these characters can be locked out when choosing the wrong dialogue options throughout progression, so make sure to be careful of your choices in the game.
| Ranking | Explanations |
|---|---|
|
Beowulf |
・Access to equipping Knight's Swords, Clothes, and Robes giving him the best equipment options.
・Loss of the Dark Knight job class lowers Beowulf's offensive potential, relegating him to mostly support via status infliction. |
|
Byblos |
・Versatile skillset, allowing the Byblos to heal allies, inflict negative statuses on enemies, or damage enemies.
・Innate Counter and Ignore Elevation gives the Byblos some natural defense and mobility. ・Innate Poach gives the Byblos a role in poaching for rare items. ・Vulnerable to status effects due to its monster class. |
|
Cloud |
・Required to equip Materia Blade+ to have access to his skillset.
・Best Limit skills have long charge time, requiring the Swiftness ability to be viable. |
|
Construct 8 |
・Dispose is unavoidable damage from 8 spaces away, at the cost of a small portion of Construct 8's health.
・Innate Atheist status makes Construct 8 immune to magic. ・Cannot heal Construct 8 outside of non-magic healing effects like Potions or Chakra. |
|
Reis |
・Highest stat growth in the entire game, with only Orlandeau coming even close.
・Highest MA growth in the game makes her the best Arithmeticks user. ・Innate Dual Wield and highest PA growth allows her to hit hard on the physical side as well. |
Both Beowulf and Reis have access to unique jobs and high stat growth, so it is recommended that they be recruited to your party.
