| Protect | Reduces physical attack taken by 1/3. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
| Shell | Reduces magickal attack taken by 1/3. Also affects accuracy of status spells and percentage damage from magical attacks. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
| Haste | Gain 50% more CT each clock tick and allows the unit to act more often. Does not increase the unit's Speed stat. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
| Float | Unit floats above the ground. Units are immune to Earth elemental attacks and move penalties, can move unhindered over water and lava. |
| Invisible | Unit is ignored by enemies. Invisible units ignore the evasion stats of the target. Lasts until the unit performs any action or attacked. |
| Regen | Unit recovers 1/3 of their maximum HP at the end of their turn. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
| Reraise | Units revive with 10% of their maximum HP when they get KO'd. |
Status Buffs are beneficial status effects that you can apply using spells, skills, or as additional effects from Weapons and Armor.
Most status buffs only last for a certain amount of Clock Ticks, though some are permanent and last until the end of the battle.

| Poison | Unit takes 1/3 damage of their max HP at the end of their turn. Lasts for 36 ticks. How to Cure: ・Antidote ・ Remedy ・ Esuna |
| Blind | Unit's physical attacks have a 50% less hit rate. Lasts until the end of battle. How to Cure: ・Eye Drops ・ Remedy ・ Esuna |
| Sleep | Unit cannot take action, gain CT, evade, or use Reaction Abilities. Grants immunity to Speechcraft and takes 50% more damage to physical attacks. Lasts for 60 ticks. How to Cure: ・ Taking Damage ・ Remedy ・ Esuna |
| Stone | Unit is immobilized, cannot gain CT, and flagged as defeated. Unit cannot take or receive damage. How to Cure: ・ Golden Needle ・ Remedy ・ Esuna |
| Oil | Unit receives double damage from Fire attacks. How to Cure: ・ Taking Fire Damage ・ Remedy |
| Slow | Unit's speed is halved. Lasts for 32 ticks. How to Cure: ・ Haste |
| Immobilize | Unit cannot move but still act, and CT is decremented. Lasts for 24 ticks. How to Cure: ・ Esuna |
| Disable | Unit cannot act and use Reaction Abilities, and CT is decremented. Lasts for 24 ticks. How to Cure: ・ Esuna |
| Stop | Unit stops moving and freezes their CT meter. Lasts for 20 ticks. How to Cure: ・ Choco Esuna |
| Toad | Transforms unit into a Toad and limits actions to weak Attacks. Receives 1.5 times damage to Physical damage. How to Cure: ・ Maiden's Kiss ・ Remedy ・ Esuna ・ Toad |
| Charm | The unit will attack allies and perceive enemies as allies. How to Cure: ・ Taking Damage |
| Doom | Receives a countdown starting at 3. Unit is KO'd once counter reaches 0. How to Cure: ・ Choco Esuna ・ Reraise |
| Chicken | Turns into a Chicken, takes more damage to Physical Attacks, and will run away from all units. Restores 1 Bravery per turn. How to Cure: ・ Bravery increases to 10 |
| Vampire | Unit can only use Vampire attack. Cannot use Reaction Abilities and Evasion is reduced to 0. How to Cure: ・ Holy Water ・ Dispelna |
| Undead | Unit is damaged by curatives Items, Spells, and Skills Unit is healed by Dark elemental attacks. Revives after getting KO'd when timer reaches 0. How to Cure: ・ Holy Water |
| Traitor | Unit has switched sides and will join the opposing party at the end of the battle. How to Cure: ・None |
Status Ailments are debuffs that you can receive or apply to enemies using spells or skills. Almost all Status Ailments can be cured with a specific item or Esuna, though a few require specific actions such as receiving damage to remove.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Charging | Unit is charging an attack. Cannot evade attacks and will receive 50% increase damage to physical attacks. Lasts until their action is performed. |
| Defending | Unit is defending which doubles their evasion stats. Lasts until the unit's next turn. |
| Jumping | Unit jumps off-screen and cannot be targeted. Lasts until the unit's next turn. |
| Performing | The unit is constantly performing Bardsong or Dance skills and cannot evade attacks. Only ends when the unit cancels their performance on their next turn. |
Action States are special conditions that the unit receives when performing specific actions, such as using a skill to attack or defending. Some action states cause units to receive debuffs to their stats until the end of their turn.
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Reflect | When hit by magick, the Unit will not take damage and the spell will instead be cast at a tile in the same direction and distance opposite from the target's position. Cured by Dispel or Harmony. |
| Berserk | Increases the Unit's physical attack by 50% and automatically attacks nearby enemies. Unit cannot be controlled or use Reaction Abilities and certain Movement Abilities. Cured by Esuna. |
| Faith | Unit is treated as if they have 100 Faith and increases the power of their Magick attacks. Increases the damage received from Magick attacks. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
| Atheist | Unit is immune to all Magick including curative spells and magical status buffs, and cannot cast any form of Magick. Lasts for 32 ticks. |
These status effects are considered neutral effects and can either be beneficial or harmful to the unit and enemies present in the field.
