Simply playing through story battles will also unlock a number of character progression-related trophies, as well.

Errands unlock in Chapter 2 and serve as an atlernative source of money and JP, by sending out unused party members from the Tavern at various towns.
Make sure to maximize your crew selection and the time you send them out for Errands to improve the chance of a Great Success. This way you won't have to retry them if they return poor results.

Leveling up and learning new Jobs and abilities is the core of progression in Final Fantasy Tactics. Accordingly, a few trophies are dependent on getting to certain levels with your party, as well as Ramza.
The Master of All Trades trophy requires learning every ability in every Job on one character. It can be more convenient to use Ramza for this because his presence throughout the story helps him earn JP quickly.
Earning the Master of All Trades trophy also requires learning missable abilities like Ultima and Zodiark.
Ultima is only available when boss enemies in Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 cast it on Ramza while he is in his Gallant Knight Job.
Zodiark must be cast on a Summoner while fighting the final boss of the Midlight's Deep dungeon.
All Missables and Points of No Return

Several trophies require mastery of the Thief's Poach skill, which causes monster carcasses to appear when killing monsters.
These monsters can also produce rare carcasses that can award unique items when processed at the Poacher.
Poach Ability Effects and JP Cost
Monsters can be recruited by characters with Orator abilities, but the secret character Reis Duelar has the innate ability to tame monsters with her attacks, making her an excellent beast tamer.
How to Recruit Reis and Overview

Some trophies require a certain amount of Job-specific actions be performed, such as hitting enemies with the Archer's Aim ability, or damaging enemies that are lined up with the Monk's Shockwave.
Keep these trophies in mind when Farming JP or hunting for treasure so that you can take advantage of opportunities to earn them. This can be particularly true when

The Mime Job is a unique Job that can be difficult to use effectively, since it mimics the abilities of your party members, as well as the direction and range they use them at.
Summons are a fairly safe ability to Mimick as they have a wide area of effect and won't hurt your own party members. Pair your Mime with a Summoner to have an easier time earning the trophy.
Mime Stats, Abilities, and How to Unlock

To earn these trophies, you'll need to do your best to acquire buried items using a Treasure Hunter unit, as well as pick up the crystals and chests dropped by defeated enemies to earn loot and abilities.
Some trophies are also related to digging into the lore, by watching special cutscenes, reading Encyclopedia entries and perusing the Scriptures of Germonique in the Chronicle section of the menu.
The Secrets Beneath Goug trophy requires that you recruit Mustadio and bring him The Clockwork City of Goug in Chapter 4. The scenes unlock the trophy and also kick off a series of side quests that leads to recruiting Beowulf and Reis.
Chapter 4: In the Name of Love Walkthrough

Midlight's Deep is the toughest dungeon in Final Fantasy Tactics, and is geared towards endgame players with its unique mechanics and randomized enemy sets. Unlocking its trophy requires that you conquer it.
Unlocking certain other trophies, like Master of All Trades also requires full progress in Midlight's Deep, since the enemies that use missable abilities are only found there.
