List of Contents

Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles features new graphics and visuals that have been reworked to look better on HD displays!
On top of the updated visuals and brand-new user interface, the remake also features additons and adjustments to the gameplay!

You also have the option to select classic graphics based on the original PlayStation One but with the updated War of the Lions translation.
Notably, the classic option isn't merely cosmetic as it also retains the gameplay of the original!
The Ivalice Chronicles' story now features full voice acting for all in-game cutscenes, as well as during battles! Previously, voice acting was limited to FMV cutscenes in the War of the Lions port.
New voice actors will also be voicing each character in the game, with Joe Pitts as the new voice of Ramza Beoulve.

A new tactical view feature will be added which will make it easier for you to look at each battlefield and better plan your actions.
Additionally, you can now speed up battles to breeze through easy battles and alleviate the otherwise slow animations of Magic and Summons!

New never before seen dialogue will also be added in the remake, including unique conversations for certain characters when fielding them in battle!
These new dialogue and conversations expands the already rich story of the game, and encourages players to use different characters for battles to see the new dialogue!

You can now choose between 3 difficulty options at the start of the game. Squire mode has easier battles and is best for players looking to enjoy the story, while Knight offers a more balanced gameplay and is based on the original difficulty of the previous games.
Finally, Tactician mode is the new hard mode with very demanding battles and is best for veteran players looking for a challenge in each battle!

A new feature called State of the Realm available in the Chronicle menu now allows you to review story events as you progress through the game.
Notably, it includes background events that are only mentioned either in passing or in dialogue, giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the events of the story!

Players who pre-order the game will get access to cosmetics and equipment exclusive to the new remake. These include White, Black, and Red equipment that changes Ramza's sprite, as well as new Akademy Gear!

The remake introduces an in-game encyclopedia that catalogs characters, nations, and lore. This tool, alongside the State of the Realm, helps players track the story’s timeline and better understand the world of Ivalice.

For the first time, the remake includes the interactive sound novels originally exclusive to the Japanese PlayStation version. These short stories, written by director Kazutoyo Maehiro, expand the lore of Ivalice and are now officially localized into multiple languages.

The Enhanced version of the game now supports trophies and achievements. In contrast, the Classic version of the game does not support achievements as it stays faithful to the 1997 version.
