FF Tactics - How to Poach Monsters
The Thief with the Poach ability can poach monsters by knocking them out in Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Keep reading to see how poach monsters, where to find the Poacher's Den, which monsters you can poach, and what items you can obtain!

How to Poach Monsters

Have a Thief or the Poach Skill

Thief Skills JP Description
Poach 200 JP Deliver slain monsters' remains to a poachers' den.

In order to Poach a monster, you just need to knock out an enemy with a character with the Poach Skill. The enemy would drop an item that you can trade-in for special items at the Poacher's Den

By having any party member enter the Thief Class, you can spend Job Points to obtain the Poach Skill. This Skill is also required if you want to enter the Poacher's Den.

Only Byblos has the Poach Skill Innately

Due to Luso's absence in the remaster, only Byblos is the only character who innately has the Poach Skill. However, he can only be recruited in the Midlight's Deep dungeon which is a late-game dungeon unlocked at the final Chapter of the game.

You need another character to have the Thief Class if you want to Poach monsters for the useful items.

Where to Find the Poacher's Den

Dorter, Warjilis, and Sal Ghidos

The first Poacher's Den you can encounter is during Chapter 3. You can only enter if a unit in your party has the Poach Skill equipped. The Poacher's Den can only appear at Dorter, Warjilis, and Sal Ghidos Trade Cities.

Plague Horror rare poach is a Zwill Straightblade dagger, 12atk / 10%p evade and chance to inflict sleep. Additionally, they can be found on Fovoham Windflats when entering from the Riovanes Castle side.
