Equip Black Garb and Jade Armlet to Party Members

Hashmal has a tendency to inflict Stop on your party members, with the range of the spell having the chance of inflicting multiple targets.
It is recommended that you equip your party members with Black Garb or Jade Armlet to prevent all your units from getting inflicted with Stop.
Use Remedy to Cure Against Status Ailments
Hashmal will also dish out other status-inflicting ailments aside from Stop to your entire party, so make sure that a Chemist is in your party to use Remedy on inflicted members.
Use Gravity, Graviga, or Lich Against Hashmal

 Lich (Descending Darkness)

Job:
Effect: Summons Lich to unleash Descending Darkness, an attack born of shadow dealing dark damage that reduces the HP of distant foes by a large proportion of their maximum. |
It is recommended that you use abilities like Gravity, Graviga, and Lich to deal out the most optimal damage to Hashmal that is proportionate to his maximum HP.
You can ideally inflict 999 damage, so it's recommended to have a Time Mage and Summoner in your party.
Party Members HP Will Be Automatically Restored After Battle
The battle will have a Phase 2, which transitions to you battling Ultima, the final boss in the game.
It should be noted that your HP will restore automatically after your battle with Hashmal, so there's no need to use restorative spells or items for damage incurred by your party.
