Not all weapons can be equipped by everyone! To use a specific weapon, make sure your character has one of the listed jobs. This will allow them to use the weapons of your choice.

How to Equip Weapons

Go to Units Tab

You can only equip weapons, or equipment in general, in the Units tab in the Main Menu. Open the Main Menu, go to the Units tab, select the unit you want to equip a weapon to, then go to Equipment & Abilities. From there, you can select the weapon you want for the unit.

Take note that you can't change a unit's equipment during battles, so it's best to always access the Main Menu to change your units' equipment before entering a battle.

Use Reequip Ability During Battles

The only way for you to change a unit's equipment during battles is by learning the Reequip ability from the Chemist job. It only costs 50 JP to learn, so you can learn it early in the game.
