A guide for the best job combinations for all classes in Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Find out which job classes create the best combinations for your units here!
List of Contents
| Primary Job | Secondary Job | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Black Mage | Arithmetician | Heavy nuker |
| Summoner | Arithmetician | Versatile Nuker |
| Ninja | Knight | Physical Attacker |
| Chemist | Knight | Long-Distance Breaker |
| Monk | Thief | Equipment Thief |
| Black Mage | Samurai | Iaido-based Attacker |
This job combo focuses on dealing as much damage as possible map-wide using Arithmeticks. Black Mage has the highest MA stats and growth among all generic job classes and is the way to go when spamming Arithmeticks.
Black Mage Stats and Abilities
This job combo has less MA and deals less damage than the above combo when spamming Arithmeticks, but gains the flexibility of the Summon skillset, avoiding redundancy from the Black Magicks skillset.
This job combo does double-duty by killing the enemies using Ninja's powerful stats and innate Dual Wield, while also being able to cripple foes with double Rend Speed or Rend Power should you need the last foe to remain alive for stealing or any other reason.
Ninja is a strong class on its own and doesn't need much support from a secondary Action Ability.
Ninja Stats and Abilities
Chemists can equip Guns, allowing them to use Arts of War from up to 8 spaces away. Using this combo, they can break enemy equipment or stats from a distance before those enemies are even able to approach your units!
Chemists also retain the flexibility of the Item Action Ability, along with their inherent Throw Items allowing them to use Items on allies from a distance.
Monk is the best job to use the Thief's Steal Action Abilities with due to Monk having inherent Brawler, allowing them to also equip Attack Boost on the Support Ability slot. Both of these skills boost the Steal success rate, giving players greater chances to steal enemy equipment.
If Arithmeticks isn't preferred, then try out the Black Mage and Iaido combo. This combo gives the Black Mage a wide variety of offensive and defensive options that are instant-cast and land in an area. Iaido scales off MA, making Black Mage the ideal class to use Samurai skills with.
