Hyperlink Matches progressively get more difficult as you unlock them. Your Aether Spirits should be at least Level 3 to beat Oleg and the rest of the Purple Light matches. For Blue Light matches like Gepard and Lynx, being at least Level 4 is ideal.

In the Green Light Level, your team should be at least Level 5 to easily beat matches like Asta and Yanqing. The Yellow and Red Light matches will be the most difficult since your team must be Level 6 to win against challengers such as Peppy, Bronya, Welt, and March 7th.

How to Beat Wen Shiling Hyperlink Match

Beating Wen Shiling is pretty simple as she's the first Hyperlink Match you'll have. Since you have Aberrant types, taking out the Silvermane Soldiers first will be easy. You can then focus on the remaining Incineration Shadewalkers.

If you're challenging Wen Shiling's Hyperlink Match right after it unlocks, you most likely won't have Mechanical types yet. Just make sure your Aether Spirits are at least Level 2 and equipped with Expansion Chips to make this fight a breeze.

Use the Silvermane Cannoneer's Skill on the Imaginary Weaver since it has the highest speed in this team comp. This will enable the Cannoneer to do more follow-up attacks!

How to Beat Julian Hyperlink Match

Beating Julian will be easy even if you don't have Aether Spirits with a type advantage against his team. Just make sure your units are at least Level 3 and equipped with Expansion Chips. You can make use of AoE attacks to take down his team much faster.

For Julian's Hyperlink Match, Mechanical types would be ideal but you won't have them unless you've finished the Cloudford Victory Zone. In this case, you can still make your primary damage dealers Abberrant types.

Similar to the fight against Wen Shiling, you will want to use the Silvermane Cannoneer's Skill on the Imaginary Weaver for more follow-up attacks.

How to Beat Dunn Hyperlink Match

To beat Dunn and his team, take out the Silvermane Cannoneers first since they can buff their allies and make the battle harder. After that, you can focus on the remaining enemies. Make sure to heal any low HP Aether Spirits in your party!

How to Beat Oleg Hyperlink Match

When up against Oleg, you'll want to get rid of the Dragonfish first due to its pesky DoT ability. After that, you can focus on the other weaker enemies and then move onto the Blaze Out of Space.

Oleg's Hyperlink Match is the hardest one for the Purple Light Level. Since he has a Blaze Out of Space on his team, it'll be tough for you to deal damage using your Aether Spirits from the first Victory Zone.

To make this match easier, you need to use Mechanical types that are Level 3 and above to deal more damage to the Blaze Out of Space. The Aether Spirits found in the Cloudford Victory Zone work extremely well for this duel.

When against Natasha, keep an eye out for any low HP units. Heal them immediately since Imaginary Weavers can deal high single-target damage using their Ultimate. Focus on one enemy at a time to reduce the onslaught of attacks.

To beat Clara, you'll need to take down the Automaton Spiders first to prevent them from using their Self-Destruct ability. After that, move onto the Gunner and then the Automaton Direwolf.

Use the Silvermane Gunner to quickly take out the Automaton Spiders. Make sure you have Deep Clean on one of your units, preferably the Silvermane Lieutenant, to get rid of the bleeding effect applied by the Automaton Direwolf.

How to Beat Gepard Hyperlink Match

To beat Gepard, take out as many Silvermane Cannoneers as you can first since they can buff their whole team. After that, it should be easy to focus on the Lieutenant when he's the last one remaining.

Use a healer like the Warp Trotter to keep your party alive since Gepard's Silvermane Lieutenant can deal a lot of DMG when you attack his shields.

How to Beat Lynx Hyperlink Match

While against Lynx, focus on the Mechanical types first before the Blaze Out of Space. The Obedient Dracolion will heal their team, so take it out first. Afterwards, you can work on the Illumination Dragonfish and leave the Blaze Out of Space for last.

How to Beat Asta Hyperlink Match

To beat Asta, take out the Humanoid enemies first so you can reduce your DMG taken. Defeat the Imaginary Weaver next, and then you can focus on the remaining Trampler.

Be mindful of the Trampler since it's the strongest DMG dealer of Asta's team. When the Trampler uses Spiral Arrow, prepare your healing unit to keep your Aether Spirits healthy.

How to Beat Diting Hyperlink Match

When against Diting, the goal is to take down as many Automaton Spiders as you can before they detonate. Be sure to heal up your units and bring a shielder to keep your team alive if you can't avoid a few of them using their Self-Destruct ability.

By equipping the Silvermane Lieutenant with Efficiency Optimization and Saturated Activation, he can immediately use his Ultimate at the start of the match. This allows him to do follow-up attacks as the Mechs attack your party, which will make it easier to destroy some of them before they detonate.

We recommend unlocking Safe Mode and Efficiency Optimization first, which can be found from the Victory Zone: Great Mine, before fighting the Diting!

How to Beat Yanqing Hyperlink Match

To beat Yanqing and his team, focus first on defeating the Illumination Dragonfish since they deal AoE damage and apply debuffs. Basically, the winner of this Hyperlink Match is the team who can survive the longest, so bring two healers for this battle!

With this team comp, you will be buffing the Frigid Prowler's damage by siphoning the HP of the Warp Trotter. The Obedient Dracolion then heals the Trotter so it can survive the damage caused by the Prowler's Skill and also from the attacks of Peppy's team.

Your main source of damage will come from the Frigid Prowler after siphoning HP from the Warp Trotter. Once it's buffed, use the Prowler's Ultimate to deal AoE damage and possibly freeze enemies.

Bronya's Hyperlink Match is the hardest one for the Yellow Light Level. Make sure to bring a mix of Mechanical and Aberrant Type Aether Spirits since the ones she has are Humanoid and Aberrant Types.

In this specific team comp, you can build up your Frigid Prowler's damage stacks by siphoning HP from the Warp Trotter. If successful, your Frigid prowler will make quick work of the Aberrant enemies.

The Aetherium Wars Welt Hyperlink Match is unlocked after the last event quest. To beat Welt, focus on the Illumination Dragonfish first since it can deal AoE damage and DoT. Defeating it will also deal damage to other enemies! Beware of the Aurumaton Gatekeeper's attacks since they deal heavy single-target damage.

The Silvermane Lieutenant's shield can protect you from DoT and deals a lot of counter-attack DMG. Use the Silvermane Cannoneer and Soldier Skills to help the Lieutenant deal even more DMG and take down the rest of Welt's team.

How to Beat Topaz Hyperlink Match

For Topaz's Hyperlink Match, you'll want to get in as many attacks as you can to break her team's shields. Try to get rid of the Automaton Spider first before the other enemies. However, if you have shielders on your team, your units will likely be able to survive its explosion.

Topaz's Aether Spirits are mostly Humanoid types. While using Abberant-type Aether Spirits is the obvious choice here, utilizing a counterattack team comp with the Silvermane Lieutenant is the more reliable choice due to how easy it is to break the IPC units' shields.

This team focuses on buffing the Silvermane Lieutenant. Keep in mind that the Lieutenant can also apply shields to a teammate, in case any of your units are low in HP or if you need to refresh their shield.

How to Beat Wilder Hyperlink Match

To beat Wilder, take out the Gunner first to lessen the attacks you'll take. After that, you'll need to use strong AoE attacks so you can whittle away the HP of his Blaze Out of Space and Shadewalkers simultaneously.

Buff the Frigid Prowler by absorbing the Everwinter Shadewalker's HP and then use the Prowler's Ultimate to deal damage. The Warp Trotter will provide debuffs and heal your Shadewalker, while the Reaver can use its type advantage to take out Wilder's Silvermane Gunner.

How to Beat March 7th Hyperlink Match

To beat March 7th in Aetherium Wars, use a Humanoid Aether Spirit to take out the Automaton Spider since it can one-shot most of your units. Then, you can focus on the other members of March 7th's team. Leave the Silvermane Lieutenant for last since it's weak with no teammates.

The strategy is to defeat the Automaton Spider first using the Silvermane Gunner. Then, defeat the Silvermane Cannoneer using the Voidranger units. Lastly, take out March 7th's Silvermane Gunner to weaken the Silvermane Lieutenant.

Hyperlink Exhibition Matches are unlocked after beating Red Light Level and finishing the Final Showdown! Intergalactic Celebration! Event Mission.

These matches offer no additional rewards and will only feature elite opponents from the Victory Zones and the Final Showdown. You can also refresh the opponent every five seconds to find the player you're looking to battle!

The only rewards you can obtain from Exhibition Match is the Rating Reward and the achievement, We Are The Champion?, after completing one Exhibition Match.

Level Up Your Aether Spirits

Leveling up your Aether Spirits is important since their stats increase when you enhance them. If the level of your opponents' Aether Spirits is higher than yours, you'll have a disadvantage when fighting them. With this, make sure to match your opponent's level!

How to Level Up Aether Spirits

Do Not Rush Through Hyperlink Matches

You don't need to speedrun Hyperlink Matches. We recommend unlocking Aether Spirits and Expansion Chips first from the Victory Zones so you have more options when devising your team.

Treat Hyperlink Matches as additional sources of Aether Spirits Upgrade Data and Expansion chips whenever you hit a roadblock in your progression.

Check Enemy Spirit Types

Always check the types of your opponent's Aether Spirits. As shown above, attacking Aether Spirits of a counteracted type deals x1.5 more DMG. For example, if an enemy's team mostly consists of Humanoid-types, use an Aberrant-type team to counter them!

Best Aether Spirit Team Comps

Choose the Best Chips for the Team

Every Aether Spirit in Aetherium Wars has its own strengths since they have unique abilities. Expansion Chips exist so that you can further enhance their kit, making your Aether Spirits more formidable in battle.

In general, you'll want to use Expansion Chips that greatly complement an Aether Spirit's kit. For example, the Silvermane Cannoneer mainly does follow-up attacks. So, give it Backstage Enhancement, which will increase its damage outside of its turn.

Target Specific Enemies

Some Aether Spirits will destroy your team if you don't defeat them immediately. For example, the Frigid Prowler can buff itself whenever it uses its Skill. Generally, you'll want to defeat your opponent's main DPS first, usually their Overlord Aether Spirit!

Finish the First Victory Zone

To unlock Hyperlink Match, you must first clear the Corridor of Fading Echoes Victory Zone, which is the first Victory Zone you'll enter upon starting the event.

After clearing it, Hyperlink Matches will automatically be unlocked and can be accessed in the Aetherium Wars event menu.

Hyperlink Match Information

Part of the Aetherium Wars Event

Hyperlink Matches are extra battles in the Aetherium Wars event where you can pit your Aether Spirits against other Challengers for more rewards! As you progress through the event, you'll unlock more matches that progressively get more difficult.

Aetherium Wars Event Guide

Battle Players to Obtain Data and Chips

In Hyperlink Matches, you battle players to obtain Aether Spirit Upgrade Data and Expansion Chips to further empower your Aether Spirits! Upon battling and beating all players in each Light Level, you will progress to the next one.

Progress Through Light Levels

Hyperlink Match's Light Levels each have four players, and you have to beat them all to progress to the next one. These Light Levels vary in difficulty, so make sure to look at each player's team of Aether Spirits and determine the best team to take them on with!

Complete Light Levels to Upgrade Rating

Once you complete each Hyperlink Match Light Level, you will also complete the Rating Mission for it, which will let you progress to the next Light Level Rating!

These Rating Missions require you to finish the Victory Zone first, so make sure to complete them fully before doing Hyperlink Matches.
