The Overlord Aether Spirit is an important member of your team since it will be your main DPS. There are only 5 Overlord Aether Spirits in the event, and for every battle, you can only bring one. Overlord Aether Spirits can be unlocked by clearing Victory Zones.

Type Counteract

To easily identify which Overlord Aether Spirit to bring in battle, it should be strong against most of the enemy's Aether Spirits. Shown above is the Type Counter chart which clearly depicts which type of Aether Spirit is strong against each other.

For example, if the enemy's team mostly consists of Mechanical-type Aether Spirits, you'll want to use the Silvermane Lieutenant for that specific battle.

Another crucial member of your team is the healing-type Aether Spirit. Obviously, this Aether Spirit will be the main source of healing for your team. There are only 2 healers in Aetherium Wars, the Warp Trotter and the Obedient Dracolion.

The Warp Trotter is the best healer for most of the battles during the event. The Obedient Dracolion is only viable whenever the enemy's team consists mostly of Mechanical types since the Trotter is weak against them. Usually, one healer is enough to heal the team.

The remaining Aether Spirits to be added to your team will depend on the Overlord Aether Spirit that you chose. For all Overlord Aether Spirits, there are certain Aether Spirits that synergize well with them.

For example, the Silvermane Lieutenant's best teammate is the Silvermane Cannoneer since its Skill allows it to support the Lieutenant. Whenever it attacks, the Cannoneer does a follow-up attack.

Looking at the enemy's team comp will also help you determine which Aether Spirits to bring. For example, if the enemy has an Automaton Spider, you'll have to bring another Humanoid-type Aether Spirit that can defeat it immediately, like the Silvermane Gunner!

Don't Forget to Equip Expansion Chips

After creating your team, don't forget to equip your Aether Spirits with Expansion Chips. Generally, you will want to use Expansion Chips that greatly complement an Aether Spirit's kit.

For example, the Silvermane Cannoneer's kit revolves around follow-up attacks. Giving it the Expansion Chip called Backstage Enhancement will increase its damage outside of its turn, further increasing the DMG of the Cannoneer's follow-up attacks!
