All Defense Expansion Chips

Expansion Chip	Effect and How to Get
Auto-Repair	After taking action, restores HP equal to 2% of Max HP x the effect trigger count (up to 8 trigger counts). You can get the Auto-Repair Chip after claiming it from Barrie. You have to first obtain the Mastery Mark of the Victory Zone: Corridor of Fading Echoes.
Sudden Evasion	After entering battle, reduces DMG received by 90% for 2 turn(s). You can get the Sudden Evasion Chip after claiming it from Barrie. You have to first obtain the Mastery Mark of the Victory Zone: Cloudford.
Emergency Reboot	When struck by a killing blow, instead of being knocked down, this ability is triggered and immediately restores HP to the wearer equal to 30% of their max HP and dispels all debuffs on the wearer. Then, the wearer immediately gains 1 additional turn. This effect can only trigger 1 time per battle. You can get the Emergency Reboot Chip as a reward from Oleg after defeating him in the last stage of the Purple Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Data Retrieval	After defeating an enemy, restores 80% of Max HP. You can get the Data Retrieval Chip as a reward from the Precious Chest in the Victory Zone: Cloudford.
Firewall	Increases Max HP by 40% and greatly increases the chance of enemies attacking the wearer. You can get the Firewall Chip as a reward from Maxime after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Great Mine. You can only battle this challenger after obtaining the Mastery Mark from Giovanni.
Attack Interception	At the end of the wearer's action, they gain a Barrier that nullifies all DMG received except DoTs. You can get the Attack Interception Chip as a reward from the Aetherium Wars Analyst after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station. You can only battle this challenger after obtaining the Mastery Mark from Herta.
Shield System	Greatly increases the chance of being attacked. Upon entering battle, obtain a Shield that can absorb DMG equal to 25% of the wearer's Max HP + 500. You can get the Shield System Chip as a reward from Pela and Serval after defeating them in the Victory Zone: Corridor of Fading Echoes.
Safe Mode	Reduces ATK by 75% and increases Max HP by 60%. You can get the Safe Mode Chip as a reward from the Exhausted Miner after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Great Mine.

All Support Expansion Chips

Expansion Chip	Effect and How to Get
Freeze Loophole	Upon entering battle, there is a 100% fixed chance to cause all enemies to Freeze for 1 turn(s). You can get the Freeze Loophole Chip as a reward from March 7th after defeating her in the last stage of the Red Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Morale Activation	After an ally attacks, all allies gain 1 stack of Morale. Each stack of Morale increases DMG dealt by 0.4%, DMG RES by 0.4%, and SPD by 0.4%. Stacks up to 60 time(s). You can get the Morale Activation Chip as a reward from Bronya after defeating her in the last stage of the Yellow Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
General Upgrade	Increases ATK by 20% and Max HP by 20%. You can get the General Upgrade Chip as a reward from the Precious Chest in the Victory Zone: Corridor of Fading Echoes.
Performance Allocation	When an enemy is defeated, regenerates 1 Energy for all other allies. Can be triggered 1 time every 1 turn(s). You can get the Performance Allocation Chip as a reward from the Drowsy Player after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station.
Backstage Enhancement	When it is not the wearer's turn, the wearer increases their ATK by 50%. You can get the Backstage Enhancement Chip as a reward from the Confident Youth after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Cloudford.
Deep Clean	At the end of the turn, removes all debuffs from the wearer, and removes 1 debuff from each of the other allies. You can get the Deep Clean Chip as a reward from the Ingenium Enthusiast after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Cloudford.

All Attack Expansion Chips

Expansion Chip	Effect and How to Get
Quick Command	Consume all Skill Points after using a Basic ATK or Skill to take an extra action. This cannot be triggered consecutively. You can get the Quick Command Chip as a reward from Wilder after defeating him in the third stage of the Red Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Computation Lock	Increases ATK by 75% but disables Ultimate. You can get the Computation Lock Chip as a reward from Lynx after defeating her in the last stage of the Blue Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Sudden Interjection	After using Basic ATK/Skill/Ultimate for the first time, immediately gains an additional turn. You can get the Sudden Interjection Chip as a reward from the Precious Chest in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station.
Shieldbreaker	When attacking, if a Shielded target is hit, the DMG dealt by the attack increases by 75%. You can get the Shieldbreaker Chip as a reward from the Naive Player after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Great Mine.
Functional Overdraft	After attacking an enemy, consumes HP equal to 25% of the wearer's Max HP and Advances Forward the wearer's action by 40%. If the current HP is insufficient, the wearer's HP will be reduced to 1. You can get the Functional Overdraft Chip as a reward from the Science-Obsessed Player after defeating her in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station.
High Load-Low Speed	Increases ATK by 90% and reduces SPD by 30%. You can get the High Load-Low Chip as a reward from the Serious Player after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station.
Threshold Disruption	When attacking enemy targets with HP percentage greater than 80%, increases the DMG dealt by the attack by 70%. You can get the Threshold Disruption Chip as a reward from Lukacs after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Herta Space Station.
Parallel Enhancement	After using an attack, increase DMG received by the wearer and the attacked enemy target(s) by 25% for 1 turn(s). You can get the Parallel Enhancement Chip as a reward from the Casual Player after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Cloudford.
Negative Load Algorithm	With every debuff the wearer has, increases DMG dealt by 25%, for up to 4 debuff(s). You can get the Negative Load Algorithm Chip as a reward from the Salesby after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Cloudford.
Malfunction	When the wearer attacks a debuffed enemy, they deal Additional DMG equal to 50% of their ATK to the enemy. You can get the Malfunction Chip from Giovanni while progressing the Embark! Corridor of Fading Echoes! event quest.

Expansion Chip	Effect and How to Get
Trotter Patch	If the wearer is a Trotter, increases ATK by 35% and Max HP by 35%. You can get the Trotter Patch Chip as a reward from Topaz after defeating her in the second stage of the Red Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Defective Suppression	When an enemy is defeated, all other enemies' actions are delayed by 40%. Can be triggered 1 time per turn. You can get the Defective Suppression Chip as a reward from Welt after defeating him in the first stage of the Red Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Energy Recycling	After using their Ultimate to defeat enemy targets, the wearer regenerates their Energy to max. You can get the Energy Recycling Chip as a reward from Yanqing after defeating him in the last stage of the Green Light Level, Hyperlink Match.
Efficiency Optimization	After entering battle, reduces the Energy required for Ultimate by 1. Energy cannot be reduced below 2 point(s). You can get the Efficiency Optimization Chip as a reward from the Precious Chest in the Victory Zone: Great Mine.
Matrix Iteration	After the wearer uses their Ultimate, restores their HP equal to 35% of their Max HP. You can get the Matrix Iteration Chip as a reward from the Automaton Fanatic after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Great Mine.
Cleansing	Dispels one buff on the target when attacking. Triggers up to 1 time per attack. If the buff is successfully dispelled, increases the DMG of this attack by 75%. You can get the Cleansing Chip as a reward from the Impatient Youth after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Great Mine.
Wind Shear Loophole	After attacking, there is a 60% base chance to inflict Wind Shear on the attacked target for 2 turn(s). When afflicted with Wind Shear, enemies take DoT equal to 20% of the wearer's ATK at the start of each turn, stacks up to 5 time(s). You can get the Wind Shear Loophole Chip as a reward from the Veteran Player after defeating him in the Victory Zone: Cloudford. You can only battle this challenger after obtaining the Mastery Mark from Herta.
Saturated Activation	When the wearer's first turn begins, immediately regenerates 3 Energy. You can get the Saturated Activation Chip from Giovanni while progressing the Embark! Corridor of Fading Echoes! event quest.

Reward From Challengers

During the Aetherium Wars event, you'll have to go through several areas called Victory Zones. These areas will contain Aether Spirits for you to capture and also several NPCs for you to defeat. Challengers and Championship Contenders will reward you with an Expansion Chip once you defeat them in battle!

Precious Chests in Victory Zones

Expansion Chips like the Efficiency Optimization can only be obtained inside the Precious Chests that can be found in Victory Zones. So make sure to open those chests when you see them!

Reward From Hyperlink Matches

Several Expansion Chips such as the Moral Activation Chip can only be obtained after participating in certain Hyperlink Matches. Do note that Hyperlink Matches can be challenging so use the best Aether Spirits in the event when attempting those challenges.

Claim From Barrie

Barrie, the Aetherium Wars Player Terminal NPC, will give you an Expansion Chip or an Aether Spirit as a reward whenever you earn a Mastery Mark from a Victory Zone. Barrie will give you Auto-Repair after clearing the Corridor of Fading Echoes. They will also give you Sudden Evasion once you finish Cloudford!

To actually obtain the Expansion Chips, talk to Barrie then select the I want to claim benefits option.

Part of the Aetherium Wars Event

Similar to Light Cones, Expansion Chips can be given to Aether Spirits in order to give them some stat bonuses and passive abilities. Expansion Chips can only be obtained within the event called Aetherium Wars!
