Side Mission	Details & How to Unlock
Scientific Methods	Learn the experiences of Senior Medical Officer Nicole Brennan as the infection spreads throughout the Ishimura. Acquire Nicole's Audio Log in her office in the Medical Deck.
You Are Not Authorized	Create a master security override from the RIGs of the crew members of the Ishimura to gain access to all sealed areas, and whatever supplies are left. Interact with Bridge Security in the Captain's Nest
Premeditated Malpractice	Learn the origins of Dr. Mercer's creation, The Hunter Necromorph. Pick up the Tissue Sample left behind after defeating the Hunter in Cryogenics.

Scientific Methods Rewards

Gravitic Amplifier

Following Scientific Methods to the end and reaching the room past the Guest Consultant Suites rewards the player with the Gravitic Amplifier, a Weapon Upgrade for the Force Gun.

The Gravitic Amplifier's special upgrade increases the radius of the Line Gun's Gravity Well secondary fire, improving the weapon's crowd-control capabilities.

Whole Again Trophy

Silver G:30	Whole Again
	Pursue Nicole's investigation.

Completing the Scientific Methods Side Mission also awards the player with the Whole Again Achievement. This trophy is semi-missable in the sense that until you reach that point-of-no-return in Chapter 11, you will have the chance to complete it in your playthrough.

You Are Not Authorized Rewards

Master Override Security Clearance

Obtaining every RIG and returning to the Captain's Nest during You Are Not Authorized rewards the player with Master Override Security Clearance. This security clearance level grants you full access to every door, locker, and crate marked with the Master Override requirement.

	Create the Master Security Override.

Completing the You Are Not Authorized Side Mission also awards the player with the Full Clearance Achievement. Like Whole Again, this trophy is semi-missable in the sense that until you reach that point-of-no-return in Chapter 11, you will have the chance to complete it in your playthrough.

Premeditated Malpractice Rewards

Prototype Stasis Module

Progressing through Premeditated Malpractice and reaching the Diagnostic Lab of the Hydroponics deck rewards players with the Prototype Stasis Module.

This Weapon Upgrade automatically enhances Isaac's Stasis Module. Once obtained, Stasis attacks will now electrocute any enemy it hits, causing them to be slowed and rooted on the spot.

Final Regeneration Trophy

Silver G:30	Final Regeneration
	Discover the Hunter's origins.

Completing the Final Regeneration Side Mission also awards the player with the Full Clearance Achievement. Like the previously-mentioned trophies, this reward is semi-missable in the sense that until you reach that point-of-no-return in Chapter 11, you will have the chance to complete it in your playthrough.

Hold On	Found by interacting with the mail terminal just before the door leading to the ADS Cannons.
Chief Engineer's Log	Found inside a Level 3 Clearance room in the Fuel Storage area of Engineering.

Premeditated Malpractice Logs

A Tissue Sample	Triggers after you pick up the Hunter’s tissue sample in Cryogenics.
Ore Storage Report	Found by interacting with a hidden mail terminal inside the Ore Storage room in Mining.
Working Discreetly	Found inside the Diagnostic Room in Hydroponics.

Text Log	How to Get
Unknown	Can only be obtained by doing specific actions in front of the Marker video inside the Break Room of Electrical Systems.
Unexpected Visitors	Given to the player after completing the game and starting New Game Plus.
Last Will and Testament	Given to the player after completing the game and starting New Game Plus.
Life on the Sprawl	Given to the player after completing the game and starting New Game Plus.
Indecipherable	Given to the player after completing the game and starting New Game Plus.

How to Unlock Side Missions

Interact with Collectible Logs

Interacting with collectible logs that belong to certain characters can trigger Side Missions. These logs present separate storylines that focus on the experiences of that particular character on the Ishimura.

All Log Locations

Progress Through the Story

While some of the Side Missions unlock when picking up logs, others are triggered after you reach a certain section of the Ishimura and interact with a particular item in the vicinity.
