Dead Space Remake - How to Save Ammo
Saving ammo in the Dead Space Remake (2023) is vital due to its less abundant ammo drops compared to the original game. Read on to learn how to save ammo during your playthrough with Kinesis and other methods!

How to Save Ammo

Tips and Strategies for Saving Ammo

Aim for Weak Spots

Maximize your ammo efficiency by aiming for enemy weak spots instead of carelessly shooting at their bodies. While Necromorphs have a variety of body types, it's generally best to aim for their arms and legs to deal the most damage while nullifying the threat they pose.

Upgrade Your Weapons

We also recommend upgrading your weapons with Damage Nodes and special Weapon Upgrades. These enhancements improve your overall damage output, reducing the amount of ammo you need to use to take down Necromorphs.

Utilize Nearby Objects with Kinesis

Ammo drops are significantly more scarce in the Dead Space Remake, so being able to deal with foes without using ammo is crucial to survive. With that in mind, you can use Kinesis to launch heavy furniture, explosive canisters, sharp objects, and Stasis tanks to damage and slow down Necromorphs while conserving ammo.

Take Advantage of Environmental Hazards

Additionally, you can also use explosive tanks, live electric panels, open flames, and other environmental hazards placed around the Ishimura to your advantage. Group up foes near these hazards and time your shots to deal with multiple Necromorphs at once while spending less ammo.

Combine Stasis and Stomp Attacks

While approaching Necromorphs can be dangerous, you can use Stasis against grounded Necromorphs to safely stomp and kill them without spending any ammo.

Run as a Last Resort

If you find yourself completely out of ammo and need to reach safety, you can always run away from or past enemies as a last resort. Utilize Kinesis and Stasis to maximize your chances of getting away from Necromorphs without taking any damage.
