The Twitcher is an enemy type in Dead Space Remake (2023) and is the fastest enemy in the game. Read on to learn the different ways on how to defeat this Necromorph.
Twitcher
When soldiers equipped with stasis modules were transformed by Infectors, the resulting necromorphs were stronger, faster, and extremely erratic in their movement. Dubbed “Twitchers” for their spastic movement, these creatures are much more easily defeated after slowing them down with stasis blasts. |

Twitchers are resistant to any source of external stasis, but they have a built in stasis module on their chest.
Shooting a Twitcher's stasis module not only slows them down, but also affects the area around them with stasis.
If you're having trouble shooting a Twitcher's stasis module, you can use the Force Gun to obliterate them in one a couple of shots.
In easier difficulties, you can one-shot a Twitcher with a Force Gun with guaranteed satisfaction.
Given how fast Twitchers are, it is best to shoot their legs to disable their fast movement. This strategy also gives you an opening for other necromorphs in the area.
If a Twitcher lands a blow on Isaac when he is low on health, it will cut his arm off, twitch in front of him, drive its blade accross his torso and twitch some more. Isaac's body will then fall, revealing his torso has been cut in half.
