The Intermediate Miner RIG schematic can be found on top of a desk located inside the Equipment Workshop of the Mining Deck. Players will arrive at this location while searching for the SOS Beacon for the main story quest.

Bring the Schematic to the Store to Purchase the Suit

To unlock the suit for purchase, go back to any of the Stores on the ship to upload the schematic. Once uploaded, you will need to spend 35000 Credits in order to buy and equip the Level 4 Suit.
