All the different audio, video, and text logs you find and receive throughout the USG Ishimura are considered collectibles. Collect them or trigger the right conditions to play them in order to record the logs into your RIG's database for later viewing.
There are a total of 188 Logs in the game (this includes all types). Collect at least 150 logs to unlock both the Story Teller and the Legend Teller trophies for your playthrough.
There are a total of 9 Weapons in the game that you need to collect in order to get the Full Arsenal trophy. Compared to the original Dead Space game, the Remake now gives you the actual weapons instead of just schematics. However, the catch is that there is a fair bit of exploration involved if you want to get all of them by Chapter 6.
Weapon Upgrades are also collectibles, with majority of them only being accessible via backtracking as you progress through the main story. To get all 21 Weapon Upgrades, players will need to explore the ship while also raising their clearance level until they get the Master Override.
Make sure to bring all found upgrades to a Bench in order to automatically expand the upgrade tree of the related weapon. Unlocking all weapon upgrades will net you the Built To Order trophy for your troubles.
Scattered throughout the USG Ishimura are special schematics that upgrade Isaac's suit. Collect them to unlock Suit Upgrades for purchase at any Store aboard the ship. However, unlike the other collectibles, Suit Upgrades will need you to go all the way to New Game Plus in order to reach the final upgrade - Suit Level 6.
There are a total of 13 Schematics in the game that can be collected and turned-in at the Store to unlock their related items for purchase. However, players only need 12 Schematics to get the Merchant achievement as the Level 6 Suit schematic is locked behind NG+.
Power Nodes fall under the collectibles category (despite being a type of currency) because there are a finite amount of them on the Ishimura for each playthrough. Discounting store-bought ones, there is only a total of 67 Power Nodes to be looted per playthrough.
Players wanting to get the Maxed Out trophy should buckle up, as you need a total of 189 Power Nodes in order to fully upgrade all of your weapons and the suit.
New with the Dead Space Remake are the story-enhancing Side Missions that paint a clearer picture of what happened aboard the Ishimura leading up to the Necromorph outbreak. Complete all 3 Side Missions to earn their associated trophy for your playthrough.
All Side Missions and How to Unlock
The Peng Treasure is one of the more unique collectibles as it is both a callback and a shakeup of the original Peng Treasure hunt featured in the 2008 original. Hunt down this elusive treasure in order to get the There's Always a Peng! trophy for your playthrough.
Where to Find the Peng Treasure
Finally, we have Marker Fragments which are wholly tied to the Dead Space Remake's New Game Plus mode. Re-live the horrors of the Ishimura and collect all 12 Marker Fragments to unlock a Secret Ending for the game.
Note: The related trophy called Marked will only require you to find and collect 1 Marker Fragment for completion.
Some of the collectibles in the Dead Space Remake are indeed missable, especially once you reach the point-of-no-return in Chapter 11. Unfortunately, in order to get them, you will have to take your save all the way to New Game Plus and replay the game.
