The Exploder is an enemy type in Dead Space Remake (2023) that deal a chunk of damage by suicide bombing when near you. Read on to learn the different ways on how to defeat this necromorph.

Exploders are small hunchbacked suicide-bomber necromorphs. Because they are meant to destroy themselves by explosion, they are the most efficient type of necromorph. A single Exploder can create dozens of dead bodies for Infectors to transform. If they explode near you, they’ll inflict a great deal of damage and knock you off your feet.

How to Beat Exploders

To beat Exploders, simply shoot the yellow sac on their left arm; This will cause them to explode and splatter. Be sure that you are in a safe enough distance as the blast from the explosion can still chip away at your HP if you are too close.

Utilize Their Sacs

When confronting a horde of Necromorphs, sever the yellow sac on an Exploder if there is one, and throw the sac at other Necromorphs for efficiency.

Death from Exploders

Isaac is Blown to Bits

If Isaac is on low health, and an exploder slams its sac on him, his remaining pieces will be splattered all over the area.
