The Tentacle is an enemy type in Dead Space Remake (2023) and is a special encounter in the game. Read on to learn the different ways on how to defeat this Necromorph.
 Tentacle
These large, tree-trunk-thick tentacles occasionally whip out from the ship’s darkened corridors. They use their harpoonlike tongue to grab your foot and drag you into-their lair. You cannot slow it down or defeat it before it gets you on your back, so don’t bother firing on it when it emerges from the hall. |

To beat a Tentacle, you must shoot its yellow sac causing it to explode and splitting the tentacle in two. The best weapons to use for these encounters would be a Pulse Rifle or a Contact Beam.
If Isaac fails to shoot a Tentacle's sac, it will drag him down its hole and the horror that awaits him there is not shown. The death scenes from each Tentacle encounters are unique and may vary.
