The Prototype Stasis Module is a Weapon Upgrade obtained by completing the Premeditated Malpractice side mission in the Dead Space Remake (2023). Read on to learn what the Prototype Stasis Module does and how to get it during your playthrough.

| Found on top of a workbench, inside the Diagnostic Lab of the Hydroponics Deck. Room can only be accessed if you progressed the Premeditated Malpractice Side Mission. | |
The Prototype Stasis Module can only be obtained during the final objective of the Premeditated Malpractice side mission. Progress through the mission until you get the Investigate Hydroponics objective in order to unlock the area in Hydroponics that contains this upgrade.

What Does the Prototype Stasis Module Do?
Shocks and Immobilizes Enemies Hit by Stasis
Picking up the Prototype Stasis Module will automatically upgrade Isaac's Stasis Module. Once obtained, Stasis attacks will now electrocute any enemy it hits, causing them to be slowed and rooted on the spot.
Modified Stasis attacks are now perfect if you want to completely stop enemies in their tracks. This buys you time to either flank them or keep them grouped up for any of your area-of-effect attacks.
Does Not Add Additional Bench Upgrades to the Suit
Despite being an upgrade to the Stasis Module (which is part of the Suit), obtaining the Prototype Stasis Module will not unlock additional Bench upgrade paths for your Suit. If you have the Level 5 Suit already, the only way ot unlock the additional nodes is to get the Level 6 Suit via NG+.
Noticeable Difference Due to Electric Particle Effects
Players will be able to see the difference between the upgraded Stasis Module versus the old Stasis Module by observing the particle effects of their Stasis attacks. If there are blue electric bolts generated on hit, it means the Prototype Stasis Module has been successfully used as an upgrade.
