Search and Rescue Summary

Search and Rescue Detailed Walkthrough

	Objectives
1	Get to the Bridge. Upon returning to the Tram Station from the Mining Deck, Kendra will alert you that another ship, the USM Valor, is within range. You'll have to fix the Comms Array in the Bridge. Go to the Bridge Main Atrium and take the elevator to Floor 3. Deal with the 2 Guardians in front of the door to Comms Access Hall. Head to the Comms Control Room and interact with the Control Terminal.
2	Fix the Comms Array. Take the door on the right to the Comms Array Maintenance. Go through the large blast door to the Zero-G zone and fix the Comms Array by placing the nodes in a way that will reroute power to the array. Take note of the direction of the power that is rerouted by through the nodes as indicated by their directional indicators. Use your Kinesis Module to place the nodes into the terminal slots.
3	Activate the Comms Array. Once power is rerouted to the Comms Array, go back inside and activate the Array using the control terminal. After receiving the message from the USM Valor, you'll learn that something is blocking the blast doors when you try to use the long-range antenna to deploy a message.
4	Deploy the Long-Range Antenna. Something is blocking the blast doors keeping you from deploying the long-range antenna. Head back out the hall and go right to the Maintenance Gondola. Ride the Gondola, then take the elevator to Comms Maintenance to see what's blocking the blast doors.
5	Destroy the Leviathan Remnant. A remnant of the Leviathan is blocking you from deploying the long-range antenna. You'll have to get outside the ship and use the ADS Cannons to sever it from the ship. There will be three ADS Cannons for you to pilot. Aim and fire at the central mass on the Remnant. Shoot the projectiles it throws at you. Remember that you will be fighting it outside of the ship. There will be O2 recharge stations positioned near the ADS Cannons, so remember to keep an eye on your O2 Gauge.
6	Deploy the Antenna. Once the Remnant is dead. Head back inside and Deploy the Antenna again. Kendra will attempt to contact the USM Valor and you will get a video message of what happened moments before the USM Valor crashes into the Ishimura.
7	Go to the USM Valor Airlock. When you regain control, you must get to the USM Valor and find the Singularity Core to repair the Ishimura. Go back outside the hull of the ship and use your suit thrusters to reach the Airlock.

Pay Attention to the Symbols in the Comms Array

Unlike the original game where you only need to put the comm nodes in the inner most circle to fix the Comms Array, the remake adds directional indicators that tell where the flow of the electricity would go.

Shoot the Guardian's Tentacles

If there are no explosives around for you to throw at the Guardian, maintain your distance and use your Plasma Cutter or Pulse Rifle to sever the tentacles that secures it on the wall.

Aim for the Central Mass of the Remnant

When you reach the ADS Cannon to shoot the Remnant, you'll notice a mouth similar to the Leviathan's. Aim at the central mass of the remnant, while also shooting at the projectiles it will throw at you.
