Plasma Cutter Upgrade Locations and Effects

Special Upgrades are brand new items introduced in the remake which extend the upgrade tree of the affected weapon. They also unlock special nodes you can purchase using power nodes which greatly boost the stats of the weapon.
How to Use the Plasma Cutter
Cut Off Limbs With Precise Shots
The Plasma Cutter is a well-rounded weapon that provides accurate shots and highly-consistent damage output. With its laser sights and tight shot spread, the weapon excels at cutting off Necromorph limbs from medium and long ranges.
Swap Between Vertical and Horizontal Shots
The Plasma Cutter's secondary fire allows it to switch between horizontal and vertical firing modes, making it a versatile option for cutting off the limbs and appendages of the different Necromorph types in the game.
