In the Dead Space Remake (2023), Stasis allows players to slow down objects and enemies, making it a versatile tool while traversing the Ishimura. Read on to learn how to use Stasis and where to get it in-game!

To use Stasis, aim down your weapon's sights and press the Stasis button. Using Stasis launches a bolt of energy that slows down objects and foes on contact, making them easier to move past or shoot.

In addition, pressing the Stasis button while not aiming down sights uses a Stasis Pack from your inventory, refilling your Stasis energy.

Different Uses for Stasis

Best Ways to Utilize Stasis

Slowing Down Hazards

Dead Space Remake - Slowing Down Hazards with Kinesis
Some areas inside the USG Ishimura contain malfunctioning and hazardous parts and objects which are too dangerous to pass through. To deal with these obstacles, you can use Stasis to slow them down and safely move past them or turn them off.

Immobilizing Enemies

When dealing with tough Necromorphs or large groups of foes, you can use Stasis to immobilize them and make them easier to manage. To maximize your Stasis energy, we recommend landing Stasis blasts such that you hit multiple Necromorphs at once.

How to Get Stasis

Obtained During Chapter 1

You can find the Stasis Module inside the Tram Tunnel during Chapter 1. The module is on the floor in front of a malfunctioning door and is also unmissable, as it is required to progress forward.
