The Guardian is an enemy type in Dead Space Remake (2023) that are stuck on walls and is able to summon Pods as a ranged defense. Read on to learn the different ways on how to defeat this Necromorph.
Guardian
The Guardians almost always appear next to doors or passages. These necromorphs are always attached to walls and lash out with their short tentacles. Guardians also spit small pods a few feet in front of them. The pods then lash out with a tentacle and fire short range projectiles at you! |

To kill a Guardian, you have to shoot and sever its tentacles that come out from its stomach. Although it sounds easy, you have to sever those tentacles while dealing with the Pods it releases.
Guardians will produce Pods indefinitely, making it harder to target its tentacles as you try to dodge the Pods' attacks. Use your Stasis Module to slow down the Guardian's releasing of Pods giving you some room to target its tentacles.
If there are explosive cannisters in the area, use your Kinesis Module to grab and hurl these cannisters at the gaping hole in the Guardian's stomach. This will kill it instantly, leaving only the Pods to deal with.
A good alternative for explosives is the Pulse Rifle's alternate fire.
If Isaac gets too close to a Guardian, his health bar or RIG won't matter, as the Guardian will rip off his head with a tentacle in one swing.
