Enemy Weak Spots: How to Sever Necromorph Limbs

Necromorphs in the Dead Space Remake (2023) have various weak spots that players can abuse to make fights easier. Read on to find out where these weak spots are commonly located and how to break them.

Limbs

Most Necromorphs do not have a specific weak spot, but generally, all normal necromorphs' weak spots are their limbs.

By dismembering their limbs, the necromorphs will have nothing to move and attack with.

Sacs

The sacs are what you see as the yellowish, wart-like texture on a necromorph.

Keep in mind that not all necromorphs have sacs, and if they do each of these sacs have different interactions corresponding necromorph.

Sometimes, shooting these sacs is all that you need to take down an enemy.

Aim for the Limbs

You can break weak spots by aiming and shooting at them. The game is generous enough to break the limb just by shooting at any part of it, provided that you may have to shoot multiple times.

Shoot the Legs First

During a necromorph encounter, try to shoot their legs first in order to slow them down, this also gives you a clear shot on their arms.

Use Kinesis and Stasis

Fast Enemies

If an enemy moves around too much, or too fast, you can use stasis to slow them down and take your time at shooting.

Use the Force

Try hurling objects at approaching Necromorphs with your Kinesis Module. It can momentarily stop them and give you enough time to aim at their weak spots.

You can also throw explosive tanks at Necromorphs just so you can finish the job.

Use Environmental Hazards

You might encounter explosive tanks and stasis cannisters when exploring areas. Try to take advantage and shoot one of these items near a Necromorph.

You can either set a Necromorph on fire with the explosive tank, or slow one down with a stasis tank. Both are ideal to give you an upper hand.

Consider Using the Pulse Rifle and Line Gun

Some weapons in the game will allow you to set up traps. The Pulse Rifle can shoot out Proximity Mines, while the Line Gun can launch Precision Lasers.

Take note of where you currently are and set your traps to catch Necromorphs off guard.
