Dead Space 2023 Is A Remake
Dead Space (2023) is a remake, according to game Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme. The game was built from the ground up, meaning new assets, environments, and graphics using present-day technology. Although, gameplay-wise, it will remain similar to the original game. The game was also built using EA's frostbite engine, like their modern titles, such as their Battlefield series.

Dead Space Remake (2023) will have longer gameplay hours due to the newly added tasks and story cutscenes.
Game Length: How Long is Dead Space Remake?
Fully Voiced Isaac Clarke
Isaac was completely silent throughout Dead Space 2008. Isaac will be fully voiced in the Dead Space Remake (2023), meaning he will yell when teammates are in trouble. This feature would give more depth to him and make the character more alive.
New And Expanded Weapon Upgrades
There will be new weapon upgrade items that can be attached to various weapons Isaac has, like the Pulse Rifle and Plasma Cutter. The upgrades can add more damage, faster reload times, and ammo capacity.
Intensity Director
Intensity Director is a new system built by Motive Studio to create a stressful environment for the players. The system can build an eerie atmosphere to remind the players that there will always be something to happen and to alert their fight-or-flight instinct.
Freedom in Traversing
Dead Space Remake (2023) will have more freedom in traversing zones. Isaac can physically walk and move between zones of USG Ishimura. This feature is a welcome change from the tram system of the original game, which felt like the game was segmented.
Remake Vs. Remaster
Remastered games do not start from scratch, they usually improve the overall quality of the games, such as better graphics, smoother gameplay, and better framerates, and they usally come with a DLC. Remake games started from scratch with brand new assets, mostly photorealism graphics made from modern technology.
