The 1.04 patch on February 3, 2023, was released to fix numerous bugs present in the game. These included game-breaking bugs, such as where players are thrown into an empty void whenever they switch weapons or not being able to find key items caused by spawning issues throughout the game.
Patch Notes Summary
While no official patch notes were ever released by both EA or Motive Studio, a moderator for the official Dead Space subreddit has released the patch note for 1.04 update instead. The patch included fixes regards to save files and game-breaking bugs where players can't progress through the game anymore.
- Fixed inability to delete save files in-game on console
- Fixed maxing out save slots blocking NG+
- Circuit breaker battery detection issue
- Issue where weapon switch throws Isaac into empty void
- Missing items throughout the game caused by spawning issue
While there are no official patch notes out at the moment, the notes released by the mod from the Dead Space community subreddit aligns with the noticeable changes we saw across all platforms after updating them. We will update this page with official patch notes as soon as they get released.
