Line Gun Upgrade Locations and Effects

Ionized Capacitor	Greatly increases Laser Trap damage.	Purchased from the Store using 11500 Credits.
Precision Lasers	Laser Traps have three targeting lasers instead of one.	Found inside a Master Override Box in Hydroponics.
Photon Energizer	Greatly increases Laser Trap damage.	Found in a Level 3 Clearance room after exiting the Chemical Lab in Medical.

Special Upgrades are brand new items introduced in the remake which extend the upgrade tree of the affected weapon. They also unlock special nodes you can purchase using power nodes which greatly boost the stats of the weapon.

How to Use the Line Gun

Tear Through Multiple Necromorphs

With its wide-reaching shots that can pass through multiple targets, the Line Gun excels at tearing through groups of Necromorphs and holding down narrow hallways.

The weapon is also potent when fighting against single Necromorphs, as its wide horizontal shots can dismember multiple limbs at once.

Cover Areas with Line Traps

In the Remake, the Line Gun's new secondary firing mode launches Line Traps. These traps emit energy beams that deal constant heavy damage to any Necromorphs that pass through them, making them excellent tools for holding down positions against groups of foes.

However, note that these traps can also hurt Isaac, so take care to position them properly and avoid walking through them to prevent yourself from taking unnecessary damage.
