This is a guide to all weapons and guns found in Dead Space Remake (2023). Read on for an interactive map of the locations of all the weapons as well as how to upgrade them and expand their upgrade trees!

Plasma Cutter

Plasma Cutter Bench Upgrades

Heat Accumulator	Applies damage over time to each shot.	Purchased from the Store using 11000 Credits.
Cartridge Rack	Greatly increases ammunition capacity.	Found on a seat at the Ishimura Clinic.
Weighted Blades	Melee attacks can knock enemies prone.	Found in the Maintenance Locker Room at the Communications Hub.

Pulse Rifle

Kinetic Autoloader	Greatly increases rate of fire.	Purchased from the Store using 11000 Credits.

High-Yield Grenades	Grenades have a much larger blast radius.	Found behind a Master Override door in the Water Purification floor of the Bridge.

Diffraction Module	Greatly increases explosion size of the Secondary Fire.	Found in a Master Override Box behind a Master Override Door in the Mining Deck.

Flamethrower

Gellified Hydrazine	Fire Walls burn for much longer.	Purchased from the Store using 11500 Credits.
Macroliter Fuel Tank	Greatly increases fuel capacity.	Found behind a Level 3 Clearance door at the Equipment Maintenance Bay in Mining.
High-Pressure Nozzle	Increases range of the Flamethrower's Primary Fire.	Found inside a Master Override chest in the Deluxe Shift Bunks of the Crew Quarters.

Line Gun

Ionized Capacitor	Greatly increases Laser Trap damage.	Purchased from the Store using 11500 Credits.
Precision Lasers	Laser Traps have three targeting lasers instead of one.	Found inside a Master Override Box in Hydroponics.
Photon Energizer	Greatly increases Laser Trap damage.	Found in a Level 3 Clearance room after exiting the Chemical Lab in Medical.

Force Gun

Subsonic Oscillator	Gravity Wells now cause damage over time.	Purchased from the Store using 12000 Credits.
Gravitic Amplifier	Gravity Wells have a larger radius.	Found in the Guest Consultants Quarters - Floor 3, Crew Quarters.
Suspension Module	Gravity Wells last much longer.	Found in a Master Override Chest next to a corrupted mass at the start of Chapter 11 in the Cargo Bay.

Kinesis Module

Kinesis (Suit) Bench Upgrades
Upgrades	Effects	How to Get
Suit Levels 1-6	Upgrades to range and throw damage depending on the selected upgrade node.	Progress through the Main Story and continue to NG+ to get all upgrades.

Stasis Module

Stasis Bench Upgrades
Upgrades	Effects	How to Get
Prototype Stasis Module	Shocks and Immobilizes Enemies Hit by Stasis.	Found on top of a workbench, inside the Diagnostic Lab of the Hydroponics Deck. Room can only be accessed if you progressed the Premeditated Malpractice Side Mission.
Suit Levels 1-6	Upgrades to duration, energy, and size depending on the selected upgrade node.	Progress through the Main Story and continue to NG+ to get all upgrades.

Hand Cannon

The Hand Cannon has no Bench upgrades available. In fact, it does not show up in the Bench as a weapon that can be upgraded. However, do note that this reward for completing the game in Impossible Mode is powerful on its own as it is a 1-Hit Kill even on Hard Difficulty.

How to Upgrade Weapons

Spend Power Nodes at a Bench to Upgrade Your Weapon

To upgrade your weapons in the Dead Space Remake, simply head on over to an available Bench station and interact with it. Spend your Power Nodes to upgrade the different stats of your chosen weapon. These upgrades often range from Damage, Reload Speed, and even Rate of Fire.

Expand Bench Upgrade Trees Using Special Weapon Upgrades

As you progress through the game, you will start encountering special materials called Weapon Upgrades that expand the Bench Upgrade Trees of their respective weapons. Bring these items back to a Bench in order to unlock more upgrades for your weapons.

Note: Weapon Upgrades can either be purchased from the Store or looted while exploring. The latter method will sometimes require you to raise your security clearance in order to access locked areas of the ship.

Use Credits to Reset Power Node Upgrades

If you aren't happy with your weapon's current upgrades, you can spend Credits in order to return all of the invested Power Nodes back to your inventory. You can do this for any upgraded weapon however, as the action suggests, this downgrades the weapon back to its base stats.
