Chen's Backstory

Career

Aiden Chen was both a pilot and a security officer of the USG Kellion. As a crew member of a shuttle owned by the Concordance Extraction Corporation, it can be assumed that the corporation employs Chen.

Before the events aboard the USG Ishimura in the original game, Chen had no established history.

Chen's Role

Aiden Chen was a security officer and one of the pilots operating the USG Kellion. He first tried establishing communication with the crew aboard the USG Ishimura when they neared the planet-cracker vessel. When they received no response from the ship, Chen was ordered by Zach Hammond to land the USG Kellion in the docking area of the USG Ishimura.

His Demise

As they began to dock, Chen lost control of the ship, resulting in a crash landing in the interior of the USG Ishimura. As they explore the unresponsive vessel, Chen and the rest of the crew members from the USG Kellion are ambushed by an unknown creature. Chen tried to fend off the creature but ultimately ended in a violent encounter.

Friend Turned Foe

Hammond later found out during his deadly encounters aboard the USG Ishimura that Chen did not die from the Necromorph attack earlier. He has mutated and devolved into one of the creatures that now plague the USG Ishimura. After a deadly confrontation, Hammond ejected Chen through an escape pod.

Chapter 4: Obliteration Imminent Walkthrough, Interactive Map, and Collectibles

USM Valor Tragedy

As the USM Valor received the distress beacon sent by Isaac, the vessel went and hailed the Ishimura for any remaining survivors. Unfortunately, they also acquired an escape pod that was currently restraining the Necromorph that was Chen. The mutated security officer wreaked havoc upon the military vessel, leaving no survivors aboard the Valor.

Last Reunion

When Isaac and Hammond meet at the singularity core's location, the chief security officer gets reunited with the Necromorph mutation that used to be Chen. In the act of heroic sacrifice, Hammond grabbed Chen and rushed towards the singularity core. It resulted in both Hammond and Chen being incinerated to oblivion.
