Life at the USG Ishimura

Jacob Temple was an engineer working aboard the USG Ishimura. It can be assumed that he was employed by the Concordance Extraction Corporation, as he was designated as a crew member of their flagship vessel.

From the various logs collected by Isaac, it would seem that Jacob Temple was the acting-chief engineer of the USG Ishimura.

Prior to his assignment to the USG Ishimura, he is known to have an intimate relationship with fellow crew member Jacob Temple.

From the communication made by Elizabeth Cross towards Isaac, she revealed that her current objective was to look for her lover Jacob Temple. Cross stated that she wished nothing more than to be reunited with him.

Locked In Stasis

Isaac was able to locate Jacob Temple as he was locked in suspended animation. Challus Merces revealed himself to be the one who shot Jacob Temple with a stasis module, as the engineer refused to help him enact the Convergence through the Marker.

After failing to convince Isaac to join him in his efforts to execute Convergence, Mercer decides to kill Jacob Temple and shoots him in the head while locked in a stasis condition.
