Upgrades to your Stasis Module have been revamped in the Dead Space Remake. Instead of having its own separate upgrade path, the Stasis Module now shares the same upgrade tree as your Suit and your Kinesis Module.
Upgrades | Effects | How to Get |
---|---|---|
Prototype Stasis Module | Shocks and Immobilizes Enemies Hit by Stasis. | Found on top of a workbench, inside the Diagnostic Lab of the Hydroponics Deck. Room can only be accessed if you progressed the Premeditated Malpractice Side Mission. |
Suit Levels 1-6 | Upgrades to duration, energy, and size depending on the selected upgrade node. | Progress through the Main Story and continue to NG+ to get all upgrades. |
Unlike other Weapon Upgrades, the Prototype Stasis Module doesn't affect the upgrade tree of any equipment, and simply gives a permanent improvement to your Stasis Module's effects.
The Stasis Module is primarily used to slow down both enemies and malfunctioning objects aboard the USG Ishimura. Solve puzzles to unlock areas for exploration or freeze enemies in their tracks by upgrading and using the Stasis Module.
