Foundries are small settlements focused on gathering and refining raw metals such as Cobalt, Nickel, and Bronze to name a few. You can buy ingots or trade your wares here. The ingots available will depend on the location of the foundry.
Lumberyards are small settlements focused on the gathering and refining raw wood such as Acacia, Ironwood, and Mopane to name a few. You can buy planks or trade your wares here. The planks available will depend on the location of the lumberyard.
Weavers are small settlements focused on the gathering and refining raw fibers such as Hemp, Jute, and Sisal to name a few. You can buy fine fibers or trade your wares here. The fibers available will depend on the location of the weaver.

Manufactories are specialized settlements that focus on the production and exportation of a single valuable resource unique to their location on the map.
Additionally, there is an achievement trophy for successfully claiming your first manufactory. But first, you have to further your rank within The Helm and reach Kingpin I Infamy to get the side contract to unlocking this trophy.
