This is a list of all the cut content from Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Find out what type of content remains exclusive to War of the Lions such as guest characters, additional jobs, and extra features here.
List of Contents
The pre-rendered cutscenes that were added to the War of the Lions iteration of the game were not included in Ivalice Chronicles. This is mainly due to the fact that this remake is based on the original PS1 version of Final Fantasy Tactics.
Optional guest characters Balthier and Luso will not be making a return in Ivalice Chronicles as these two were added to the roster for War of the Lions.
Balthier is part of the main cast of Final Fantasy XII while Luso is the protagonist of Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift. Both are titles that are also set in the world of Ivalice.
Classes that were added in War of the Lions are not present in Ivalice Chronicles.
| Sky Pirate | This class was a combination of the Thief and Machinist jobs. It served as Balthier's default class. |
|---|---|
| Game Hunter | Game Hunter was a copy of Ramza's default Squire class but with the added ability to poach monsters. This was Luso's default class. |
| Dark Knight | Dark Knight was a class that specialized in draining targets of their HP and MP while dealing significant damage. It could be unlocked by any unit. |
| Onion Knight | The Onion Knight job started off weak with low base stats and a default inability to equip Job Abilities. However, it became significantly more powerful as you mastered more Jobs, making it an ideal class for late game content. |
War of the Lions included multiplayer modes where players can either duke it out in competitive matches or band together for cooperative missions. Unfortunately, these modes did not make the transition to Ivalice Chronicles.
Communication features tied to these modes were also excluded from the remake.

the war of the lions pre-rendered cutscenes are still in the game, they just dont automatically play. You can view them in the chronicle menu under "events" after the scene takes place. They will have the "play movie" option if there is a cutscene for the event
