    I found a solution. You just need to unequip any suit (excluding the Layered/Skin suits) you have on and it will revert back to L6 Suit USM Valor.

    Once you acquire the L6 USM Valour suit, if you change suits the Valor suit is lost. It will not appear in your saved inventory. At least the L6 upgrades carry over to any suit but still the Valour suit is gone.
