The best IVs for Halloween Nils are +Spd and -Def. His Spd is at base 41 and is high enough to avoid follow-up attacks from the fast metagame units if invested into.

His Def is lackluster and can safely be taken as a bane.

Halloween Nils is a close magic attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he/she deals will be equivalent to his/her Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Halloween Nils Strengths

Surprise Breath+ creates large Atk/Res stat swings

Halloween Nils comes with a new inheritable breath weapon in Surprise Breath+. This weapon looks like it was left over from the previous Bite of Flame Special Heroes banner by dishing out penalties based on its wielder's stats. In this case, it grants Atk/Res+5 to the unit and inflicts Atk/Res penalties onto the foe equal to 20% of the unit's Res.

It is a decent inheritable breath weapon that functions well with above average or high Res units like Halloween Nils.

Free to Play Dragon Refresher

As a Tempest Trials unit, Halloween Nils can be acquired and merged up without spending orbs. He also has modern BST, making him a good option if you need another refresher unit on your barracks.

Halloween Nils Weaknesses

Terrible Def

Halloween Nils has a base Def of only 21, leaving him vulnerable to physical attackers. One hit is all it takes to remove him from the map, rendering his high Spd to avoid follow-up attacks near useless.

Keep him away from physical attackers to ensure his survival.

Weak to Dragon Effective Weapons

Halloween Nils takes 1.5x damage from dragon-effective weapons like Sealed Falchion or Divine Mist, and one blow from this type of weapon is sure to take him/her down. Make sure you know what weapons you are up against before hopping too far into the line of battle!
