When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
The best IVs for Silvia are +Spd and -HP. With a +Spd stat, Silvia's Spd will reach 39. She might not be able to score lots of follow-up attacks at that level, but it allows her to take less follow-up attacks from foes thus increasing her survivability. Her HP is of less importance and it can be easily improved with weapon refinement so it is safe to take as a bane.

Note: Stats bonuses from skills are not taken into account.
Silvia is a close physical attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
Dance is an assist skill that allows the target ally to take another action. Because of this, your allies can move and attack twice to take down foes, or attack and move back to the safe zone so that they won't be taken out during the enemy phase. It has high strategic value and it allows Silvia to become a part of many team compositions.
Because of Deluge Dance 2, not only does an ally get an additional action, but they also get +3 Spd and +4 Res. This provides them a bit more firepower that may mean the difference between defeating the next foe or not. This also synergizes well with blade tome users like Tharja and Nino, as they can turn these buffs into even more firepower.
Barrier Blade+ and Mirror Stance 2 combines for +4 Atk +11 Res granted to Silvia when a foe initiates combat onto her. This combines very well with her high Spd as it makes her unsusceptible against follow-up attacks. All these make it safe for Silvia to dance whilst being in the danger zone. Under the right conditions, she can even be a threat against some team compositions.
Silva's Def only sits at 17 at Lv.40. This makes it easy for physical units to take her out. Be mindful of Silva's positioning in relation to physical units that can easily take her out.
There are many other Sword-wielding dancers that outshine Silvia in many ways. One good example is Flying Olivia who is of the flying-type, an arguably better movement type for dancers. Unless Silvia is a character that you absolutely love, there is no particular reason as to why you should choose her over other dancers.
As mentioned before, Silvia can bait magic users into attacking her in the enemy phase, but this is a very niche use case as dancers should stay away from combat as much as possible. Additionally, unless the attacking magical unit is a dragonstone user, she cannot perform a counterattack with her base kit. Getting Distant Counter also means giving up the Mirror Stance which is one of the reasons why Silvia is good in the enemy phase.

Don’t you get tired of thinking so much, {Summoner}? Just looking at you gives me a headache. What’s going on in there? I used to know a priest...and you’re just like him. His face would wrinkle up, and he’d groan and groan… Aren’t you lucky, though? Because... Da-da-da-dah! I’m here with you! Even with all the troubles you carry around... I can dance for you. You have me to help you relax. I’ll help you with your stamina, because if you don’t have energy, everybody here is in trouble! Whenever you need me, just say the word! |
