+Res/-Spd

The best IVs for Dheginsea are +Res and -Spd. Taking a Res would balance his defensive stat. Balanced defenses are ideal for survivability as he can take attacks from a wide range of foes! Additionally, his Res is a superboon so you should take advantage of it as much as possible. His Spd is extremely low and it is not much of importance to him so it is safe to take as a bane.

+Res for a +10 Merge

We recommend a +Res IV when merging Dheginsea to 10. With +10 merges and a +Def IV, Dheginsea will rock 48 Res. This makes him extremely durable against magic attacks.

How to Use, Explanation

This is a premium build for Dheginsea. Lightning Breath+ will allow him to counterattack regardless of distance, while Sol gives him sustain. Sturdy Stance 3 and Special Fighter will slow enemy Specials while accelerating his own. A/R Far Save protects his backline from ranged attacks.

How to Use, Explanation

Dheginsea is a close magic attacker (range = 1). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Dheginsea Strengths

Blackfire Breath inflicts a huge Atk/Res penalty to foes

Blackfire Breath+ neutralizes Atk/Res bonuses on foes and on top of that, it inflicts -5 Atk/Res to them. This only activates if Dheginsea is not adjacent to an ally so always pay attention to his positioning in relation to your other units.

Blackfire Breath+ also grants Dheginsea adaptive damage against ranged foes. Take note that all the mentioned effects are also available in the player phase which is very good for Dheginsea as his other skills are exclusive to the enemy phase.

Punishes foes when attacked

Sturdy Stance 3 grants Dheginsea +6 Atk/Def and inflicts special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack. Not only does this skill make Dheginsea more powerful in the enemy phase, but it also punishes attackers by interfering with their special cooldowns. This is very important when up against powerful foes as in those situations, having a special activated means one of your units getting taken out.

Slick Fighter grants a huge advantage in the enemy phase

When attacked at 25% HP or above, Slick Fighter 3 neutralizes the penalties on Dheginsea and grants a guaranteed follow-up attack to him. Combined with Sturdy Stance 3, Dheginsea makes for a very deadly unit in the enemy phase.

Weak to Armor Effective Weapons

Dheginsea takes 1.5x damage from armor-effective weapons like Armorslayer+ or Hammer+, and one blow from these types of weapons is sure to take him down.
