Abyssal Harpoon Recipe: How to Craft the Abyssal Harpoon

Crafting Materials Needed

Item Name How to Get
Chitin x30 Mined from the back of Leviathans.
Fine Wood x8 Chop Birch trees.
Leather Scraps x3 Obtained from Boars, Chests, or Muddy Scrap Piles in Sunken Crypts.

Spawn with Console Command

If you don't mind using cheats to obtain it, the Abyssal Harpoon can easily be spawned with the console command.

To spawn the item, first turn on cheat codes by typing devcommands in the F5 console, and use the spawn SpearChitin command to create the item.

How to Use the Abyssal Harpoon

Using the Abyssal Harpoon is very simple. When attacking with the Abyssal Harpoon, it will attach a rope between you and any creature it hits. You are then able to pull the creature by moving in the direction you want to.

The rope can break if there is too much distance between the player who holds the Abyssal Harpoon and the attached creature.

As of patch 0.148.6 the Abyssal Harpoon no longer works against any of the bosses.

How to Upgrade the Abyssal Harpoon

This item currently cannot be upgraded.
