Since this is a remake, players can expect it to be different from its predecessors in terms of its graphics. The developers behind Dead Space Remake have stated that they have re-created the famous USG Ishimura from the ground up and created new and more detailed assets to make the most out of the current generation of hardware.
One of the systems that were added to the remake is the Intensity Director—a system where it basically controls the pacing and atmosphere of the game and can adjust itself on the fly.
It can control when and how many Necromorphs you'll encounter as you progress through the game. It adds to the unpredictable nature of the game, where you'll never be quite sure what's going to happen, keeping you alert at all times.

Gore | 10/10 |
If you want to try playing any of the games in the Dead Space series as a newcomer, then you better watch out, as this series is regarded as one of the best classic space horror game that are well-known in the gaming community.
With its well-timed jumpscares, blood-filled hallways with dead body parts all around, and creepy atmosphere, this game is definitely not recommended for those with the faint of heart.
One of the reasons this series is regarded as one of the scariest of its genre is thanks to its eerie and disturbing atmosphere. Aboard the USG Ishimura, you can already feel the tension in the game just by the level design alone, making you feel isolated and restricted inside the ship.
The structure and design of each level have this feeling of unfamiliarity mixed with creepy sound effects that will always keep you alert and wondering if there's a monster just waiting around in the corner.
Jumpscares in Dead Space series are very few and far between, but they are very effective in scaring the player. They're not the type of cheap jumpscares, but one with a build-up that will really scare the player out of their seats.
It's no surprise that a game that has "dead" in its name will no doubt have gore as its centerpiece. Dead Space series is known to have gore everywhere, and one of the main mechanics of the game is cutting up the limbs of a Necromorph, a human-turned monster, to kill them.
Isaac's death also comes with various scenes where he's often decapitated or outright crushed by Necromorphs, which is straight-up brutal and an added salt to the wound to the player for letting it happen.
