The best IVs for Hubert are +Spd and -Def. A higher Spd stat helps him score more follow-up attacks which greatly boosts his offensive ability. It also makes him less susceptible to follow-up attacks from foes. This boosts both his offensive and defensive capabilities. His low Def is of less importance, so it is safe to take Def as a bane.

How to Use, Explanation

This build utilizes Hubert as a support unit in Aether Raids. Infantry Pulse lowers the Special cooldowns of his allies while Smite and Atk/Def Link 3 provide Atk/Def bonuses and trigger refined Retainer's Report's debuffs.

Hubert is a ranged magic attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Res stat.

Hubert Strengths

Rauðrfox+ inflicts defbuffs upon initiation

Rauðrfox+ inflicts an in-combat -4 Atk/Spd/Def/Res to Hubert's foe when he initiates combat. This makes Hubert a great player phase attacker as this can be treated as a Swift Sparrow-like skill. Additionally, it is an in-combat buff which makes it easy to stack with other buffs.

Grants Atk/Spd buff and Adaptive Damage to Infantry Allies

Inf. Hexblade grants Atk/Spd +2 to adjacent infantry allies at the start of the turn. More importantly, it grants them adaptive damage in the same turn. Adaptive damage is when damage is calculated using the lower of foe's Def or Res. This is a huge damage boost to your infantry allies that can cripple units with imbalanced defenses such as Michalis.
