The Nexus 1st Entry
① Talk to the Inhabitants
The The Nexus is the main hub for the game's NPCs. Here, you'll have access to several NPCs like Stockpile Thomas that holds your items and Blacksmith Boldwin that can upgrade your weapons. For a further list of NPCs in the The Nexus, refer to our NPC list below.

② Talk to the Crestfallen Warrior to Proceed
The Crestfallen Warrior will instruct you about your current situation. He will then show you how to use the Archstones to travel between the lands of Boletaria so you can hunt demons.
The Nexus After Phalanx
① Talk to the Monumental
Once you defeat the Phalanx in Boletarian Palace, you will be welcomed by the Maiden in Black. She'll allow you to gain levels by spending souls so you'll be paying her a visit frequently. But for now, head to the highest place and talk to the Monumemtal.
② All Archstones Becomes Available
After defeating the Phalanx, you can now choose which archstones you wish to use so you can travel to your chosen location. You are free to choose which stage to clear first so do not hesitate to tackle a stage that fancies you.
The Nexus Tips and Tricks
Commit Suicide Here to Keep White World Tendency
When you die while in human form, the current world you're in will shift it's world tendency to black. To avoid this, commiting suicide at the The Nexus can allow you to return to your soul form while not affecting any world's tendency level.
Why Manipulate World Tendency
Manipulating World Tendency will greatly affect the events and the strength of enemies. Demon's Souls is famous for its difficulty so keeping the world's tendecy to white is one of the best options you can choose to do if you wish to lower the game's difficulty. Making the World Tendency reach Pure Black or White will also spawn enemies that can drop high grade loot so be on the lookout for them!
Avoid Harming NPCs
Hostile NPCs will not take reason! Making friendly NPCs hostile will prevent you from availing to their services and slain NPCs will not respawn!
