Watcher's Gaze will be the main weapon of the build as Phantom Flurry can initiate clashes, and it deals good damage. You can also opt for the Zhanlu sword if you do not have the Deluxe Version of the game. We also chose Slicing Zephyr for its clash and crowd control capabilities.

The Disciplinary Force set is on the Watcher's Gaze, as it will be the main weapon of the build, allowing it to deal high damage in addition to the Magic Tempering. While the Benedictions set on it aim to increase its damage and will enable it to apply Burn faster to enemies.

You'll want to stack on Magic and Agility Nodes while also obtaining multiple discipline skills to activate the bonus for the Disciplinary Force set. Take most Nodes in the Shortsword Tree for increased damage on Watcher's Gaze.

Afterwards, take mastery and discipline skills in the Spear Tree to increase the damage and capabilities of Steampowered Spear. Move to the Dual Blades Tree for more Agility and Endurance nodes.

As the build focuses on melee despite being a spellcaster, we recommend equipping armor that has high Tenacity, as you're mostly fighting up close. Depending on which boss you're fighting, feel free to swap any armor piece you need.

The Sun and Bird Pendants will be a source of damage boost for Watcher's Gaze and all your spells. While the Coiled Dragon Pendant increases the damage of Phantom Flurry and Steam Chain.

Temperance and Acupoints

Bone Needle - MagicBone Needle - Magic Used via tempering to increasing your weapon's Spell potency.
Shadow Stone Needle - AgilityShadow Stone Needle - Agility Taps into your acupoint to slightly increase the Agility Control of the weapon you're wielding.

The Magic bone needle is the best to use for the build as it increases the damage of your Spells. For your Acupoints, it's best to take the Agility and Magic needles for your weapon scaling. Make sure to equip the Continuity needle to prolong your magic buff.

The Mana Vase is your main sources of healing. Temperance is also a must as it grants bonus damage. The Maddening incense is also a great addition as Madness increases your damage in speeds up your Temperance application. We also recommend using Nite Fire Pots as an extra option for ranged damage.

Encounter Rotation

  1. Cast Echo of the Bo Magus
  2. Cast Ethereal Form
  3. Stack Skyborn Might and Use Phantom Flurry.
  4. Stack 4 Skyborn Might and use Swift Draw to cast Steam Chain.
  5. Use Echo of Dhutanga to Obliterate enemies.
