Equipping Firearm Blades will scale your affected stats accordingly. Stat scaling can affect your character in terms of weapon damage and spell-type attacks.

Strength Boosts your damage when wielding Greataxes, Longswords, and Spears.
Agility Boosts your damage when wielding Dual Blades, Longswords, Spears, and One-Handed Swords.
Magic Boosts your One-Handed Sword and Spell damage.
Feathering Boosts weapon damage affected by Feathering properties, and Feathering-type Spell damage.

How to Get Firearm Blades

The Firearm Blades can be found on a forge table in one of the areas behind Shu Sanctum. To get here, you must circle around the sanctum and make your way to the cliffs past the Tree Bridge. On your way to the top of cliff, there's a path leading down towards the back of the sanctum. Make your way down and through an alley where you will see the weapon guarded by numerous imps.
