The correct answer for the Hillswatch gate would be to Challenge the Threads of Fate, as it gives you a unique armor set and Kong Wine, which is especially useful for the snowy climate you are in. The alternative will teleport you to the middle of Mort Grotto, which we do not recommend as this is an area you can pass through later on.

1. Go Through Hillswatch
| 1.1 |  From the underground elevator in Reverent Temple, you will see a narrow bridge straight ahead with the Hillswatch shrine on the opposite side. Before crossing, open the Benediction Gate to your right. |

| 1.2 |  From the Hillswatch shrine, go up the path on the left then turn right. If you go straight ahead, you will see several breakable obstacles leading to a cave. This path goes straight to Chapter 3: Mt. Zhenwu, but it is not recommended to pass through yet because you need an item obtained at the end of Shaft to progress. You can, however, unlock the Battlefield Pass Shrine to make it easier for you to teleport once you complete Chapter 2. |
| 1.3 |  Go up the nearby staircase at the top of the hill. Watch out for the enemy ready to pounce at you! |
| 1.4 |  At the top of the stairs, go into the nearby house and defeat the mimic vase to obtain a Faint Red Feather. From there, proceed further up the mountain. |
| 1.5 |  You will encounter a series of houses. Follow the path onwards, but watch out for the four enemies that will spawn when you pass by. |
| 1.6 |  Cross the bridge to your left. Obtain the Coral Bracelet by defeating the enemy straight ahead, then go on the path to the left to unlock a ladder leading straight to the Hillswatch shrine. |
| 1.7 |  Do the Examine emote near the statue nearby to obtain the Shu Silk Scarf. |
| 1.8 |  Back at the hill, continue up ahead until you reach a passage at the top. You can talk to Li Dingo and Sun Kewang to your right, who will give you Kong Wine and Spicy Soup. |
| 1.9 |  Cross the bridge in front of you, which will lead you to Snowy Passage. You can find the Tattered Pack along the snowy path on the other side. |
| 1.10 |  Upon crossing the bridge, you can go left and pick up a Faint Red Feather at the end of the path. After that, go the opposite direction, defeat the enemy archer along the way to obtain Rebel Orders, then follow the path on your left leading directly to the Snowy Passage shrine. |

Introduction to Cloudspire
Upon defeating Commander Honglan, use the Reverent Temple Key to unlock the door on the left side of Reverent Temple. Follow the path leading down into a cave, then take the elevator at the end up to Cloudspire.
