How to Get Spells

How to Get Spells

Purchase from Merchants

Some Spells can be purchased from the merchant Wu Gang. These are often lower-level spells that can still deal a decent amount of damage in the early game, but are definitely overshadowed by late-game Spells.

Defeat Bosses

Echoes are spells that tied to a specific boss. Defeating a boss will drop an Echo Spell that is similar to their latent abilities.

Pickup form the Overworld

Some spells will give off a white glow and can be seen in the overworld. You will have to look at every nook and cranny to find them.

NPC Rewards

Some NPCs will reward you with a Spell for correctly fulfilling the requirements of their questline. This could be in the form a dialogue option or even a Valuable to be given.

How to Upgrade Spells

Invest in Stats in Impetus Repository

Magic Mastery Magic Boosts your One-Handed Sword and Spell damage.
Feathering Mastery Feathering Boosts weapon damage affected by Feathering properties, and Feathering-type Spell damage.

As there is no way to directly upgrade spells, you can instead invest your stats in Magic ang Feathering Mastery in the Impetus Repository to buff up the damage output of your spells. You can also look into One-Handed Swords that boosts your Magic and Feathering stats.

Echo of Honglan (Magic) doesnt exist as a spell not sure why its on this list

The skyborn might cost of Echo of Ai Nengqi is incorrect. It is 2, not 1. It's 1 if you have the Fury of the Skyborn skill and greater than 50% madness, but then, the other Echo spell costs would be wrong.
