Wear Lightning Resistance
The Fierce Tiger and Zhang Xianzhong unleash lightning attacks throughout the fight, so equipping armor that mitigates Lightning damage and reduces Paralysis buildup will help you survive the battle.
Summon Companions During the Second Phase
During the second phase, summon both Nian Suichang and Huang Jian'e to give Zhang Xianzhong additional targets to focus on. This not only increases overall damage output but also gives you more breathing room by shifting aggro away from yourself. It's best to summon your companions for the second phase, as the moves in the first phase are a bit more predictable and are easier to evade.

Use the Electro Balls to Charge Skyborn Might
Perfectly dodging these electro balls at the right moment will charge your Skyborn Might, allowing you to cast spells or execute quick heavy attacks, so take advantage of the opportunity whenever possible.

Fierce Tiger bites to the right, then to the left. Dodge backward on both attacks, as it will most likely follow up with another attack. |
| Feral Tantrums |
Fierce Tigers jumps and slams the ground twice, followed by either a claw strike or a bite. Dodge away from the boss during this move, then dodge forward on the final attack to close the distance and counterattack. |
| Ground Slam |
Fierce Tiger slams on the ground twice with its paw. Dodge forward on both attacks to get behind the boss and hit it with attacks. |
| Lightning Flip |
Fierce Tiger raises its tail to gather electricity, then flips to release lightning balls that scatter in a cone toward you. |
| Charging Pounce |
Fierce Tiger charges and pounces at you. Dodge forward just before the attack lands to dodge away, since it's usually followed by another attack. |
| Roaring Thunder |
Fierce Tiger stands and roars as thunder strikes rain down around it. It's best to get away from the boss during this move to avoid both the roar and the thunder strikes. You can also stay very close while you have the Dracolich Pendant equipped to avoid the effects from the roar, while avoiding the thunder strike, since it doesn't spawn close to the boss. This allows you to safely attack the Fierce Tiger during this move. |
| Homing Orb |
The Fierce Tiger charges a lightning orb in its mouth and releases out a slow, homing orb toward you. While ii's quite easy to dodge on its own, the Fierce Tiger will charge to you, followed up by a lightning beam. |
| Lightning Beam |
After the Fierce Tiger lets out a Homing Orb, it charges toward you and lets out a lightning beam. Try to get closer to the Fierce Tiger after the Homing Orb attack, so that you can hit it with attacks as it unleashes its Lightning Beam, as it will remain stationary for the whole duration. |
| Lightning Whip |
The Fierce Tiger charges its tail with lightning and spins around, dealing Lightning damage, followed by a flip that releases lightning balls toward you. |

| Heaven's Wrath |
The boss flies into the sky, spawning huge lightning orbs that drop to the ground, then pounces at you after about five jumps, triggering lightning strikes upon landing. Keep your distance from the lightning orbs while staying focused on the boss to dodge the pounce. |
| Lightning Tantrums |
The Fierce Tigers jumps up and down while spawning lightning strikes around it. It's best to avoid the attack entirely, as it'll be followed up with a bite, a claw strike, or an attack from the Sovereign. |
| Triple Homing Orbs |
The Fierce Tiger runs in a circle around you, then unleashes slow-homing orbs three times. After three orbs, it will unleash a beam toward you. Try to get closer to Zhang Xianzhong as he releases the homing orbs so you can hit the boss when he fires his laser beams. |
| Lightning Slam |
Zhang Xianzhong charges his weapon and slams it into the ground, dealing lightning damage and summoning lightning orbs hat spread out in all directions from the point of impact. Move away from the boss to avoid the lightning slam, and to easily avoid the lightning orbs, as they'll spread out more the farther they travel. |
| Dragging Electricity |
Zhang Xianzhong plants his charged weapon on the ground, and charges toward you while dragging it, leaving fields of electricity in its path. Stay out of his path to avoid building up Paralysis from the electric fields. |
