The Ethereal Form spell is useful for dodging large AoE attacks, especially during the second phase. Meanwhile, the Echo of the Bo Magus helps you withstand damage by conjuring a shield, particularly if you're familiar with most of the attack patterns and can perfect dodge consistently to charge Skyborn Might. You can then cast the spell and keep dishing out attacks while dodging as much as you can to repeat the cycle.
Summon Xuanyangzi to Split Aggro
Once you enter the boss arena, summon Xuanyangzi to split the aggro between you and him. Use the opportunity to land attacks while its focused on your companion. If it focuses on you instead, play defensively until it switches targets.

| Pounce |
The Reborn will pounce from very far away and cut the distance to you very quickly. Be ready to dodge after it stamps its front leg and gets on its haunches to pounce. |
| Savage Swipe |
The Reborn swipes with its forelegs in a wide arc. Dodge to its side to safely attack it from the flank. |
| Monstrous Howl |
The Reborn lets out a Howl that can stagger you and leave Wuchang vulnerable for any attack it does. When it seems like The Reborn retreats to itself, it's getting ready to howl so avoid being near before it does. |
| Bestial Stomp |
The Reborn swipes with its right foreleg, then does a spinning attack with its left, before standing on its hind legs to stomp the ground, sending a kinetic wave in front of it. Avoid this by dodging to the left or right to its flank. |
| Power Stomp |
The Reborn pounds its fist to the ground, knocking Wuchang on the ground. Dodge to the side when it rears back its arm. |
| Bestial Dash |
The Reborn pounces forward, cutting past any distance between it and its prey. Stay clear from the Reborn and maintain your distance after it pounces, as it might attack in a whirlwind! |

The Reborn brings down its powerful arm and strikes, breaking the ground in front of it in a cone in front of it. Avoid the kinetic blast by dodging to the side. |

The Dragon Emperor summons a devastating ball of energy that will slowly drift closer to you. It will explode twice, sending a kinetic wave that knocks Wuchang to the ground. Maintain your distance from the orb and avoid it! |
| Mercurial Air Slash |
The Dragon Emperor's sword will cackle with energy then will throw 3 air slashes towards you of varying shapes. One will be horizontal and the other will be a diagonal swipe. A single dodge isn't enough to avoid a horizontal swipe if you dodge towards the side, so make sure to dodge to the free space of the diagonal when you can to avoid getting damaged. |
| Life Drain |
The Dragon Emperor holds up its dodecahedron, draining the life of anything nearby it to sustain itself. Stay back and maintain your distance! |
| Mercurial Assault |
The Dragon's Emperor will make a wide slash with both the sword and the dodecahedron, before slamming down his weapon on the ground, creating a kinetic blast. Be sure to keep clear of its front and attack him from behind or from the sides. |
| Emperor's Stomp |
The Dragon Emperor rears back its leg and stomps a powerful blast on the ground, sending a kinetic blast all around it. Dodge forwards, and under the leg to avoid its next attack. |
| Emperor's Rampage |
The Dragon Emperor's sword will spark an ominous red and he will thrust it in front of him, sending crackling red energy to blast the ground. Dodge to the sides to avoid the blast. |

The Dragon Emperor lets out a Howl that can stagger you, so stay back and maintain your distance when he starts to rear back. |
| Prismatic Eruption |
The Dragon Emperor charges its blade before striking in front of it, causing prismatic shards to erupt, and piercing anything around it. |

The Dragon Emperor waves his arm and a red mist forms, then explodes after a delay. Stay clear of the red mist and attack Zhu Youjian from behind! |

From the Burning Cave Shrine, follow the path leading upward in front of the shrine, then enter the cave. Continue through it until you reach the end, where Zhu Youjian is located.
