How to Beat Demon of Obsession
Equip High Magic Resistance
The Demon of Obsession primarily casts spells, unlike its counterpart, the Nightmare Demon, which uses all weapon types. Equipping armor with high Magic resistance will let you tank more hits from her spells. She often uses spells like the Echo of Ai Nengqi, Echo of the Bo Sorcerer, and the Echo of the Great Centipede, which are all Magic-type spells.
Hit the Boss Continuously
The Demon of Obsession can be staggered easily, much like Inner Demons, so continuous attacks will often interrupt its moves. Keep pressing the attack to eventually break the Demon of Obsession's poise. However, this does not trigger a window for an Obliterate Attack, as it will become briefly staggered instead.

The Demon of Obsession twirls its spear before finishing with a downward strike. Clash with the attack to negate some of the damage, or deflect it to end the move early. Keep your distance during the twirl, then dodge forward to get behind the enemy and land a heavy attack. |
| Ebb and Flow |
The Demon of Obsession begins with a spinning animation, then lunges forward and finishes with a stab. Create distance as it charges, then deflect or dodge the final strike. |
| Echo of the Bo Magus |
The Demon conjures a spear-like weapon and slams it into the ground, dealing AoE damage around itself. Dodge as the spear strikes to avoid damage. Unlike the normal spell effect, this does not create a barrier around the enemy. |
| Agressive Thunder |
The Demon of Obsession discards its weapons and channels lightning into its hands, attacking with electrified punches and kicks. Use skills or spells that create distance to avoid its flurry of strikes. |
| Furious Stab |
The Demon of Obsession strikes forward twice in quick succession, finishing with a powerful thrust. Clash with the attacks to negate most of the damage, or deflect to end the move early. If those options aren’t available, dodge to the side to avoid the stabs. |

The Demon of Obsession leaps and dashes forward with a spear thrust. Dodge or deflect the strike to avoid damage. |
| Spear Flurry |
The Demon of Obsession twirls its spear around itself before finishing with a downward strike. You can deflect the initial attack to end it early, but it’s often easier to clash during the twirl and then deflect the final strike for a well-timed parry. |

The Demon of Obsession twirls its spear above its head, releasing red smoke, and finishes with a thrust. Avoid the smoke, then dodge or deflect the final strike. |

Demon of Obsession executes a backflip to evade your attack. Be cautious, as it usually chains another move after Spearveil. |

The Demon of Obsession unleashes an attack that strikes in all directions, finishing with a downward strike. Like the Spear Flurry, it’s best to clash or avoid the twirling phase, then deflect the final blow. |

The Demon of Obsession conjures an electric bow and fires five arrows in a cone toward you. It may repeat this up to three times in quick succession or cut it short to chain into another attack. Stay alert and watch for the moment it releases the draw to time your dodges. |

The Demon of Obsession summons icy winds around itself and spins with its weapon, finishing with a downward strike. Keep your distance during the icy winds to avoid damage, then dodge forward on the final blow to get behind the Demon. |

The Demon of Obsession floats in the air and summons a magic circle that fires six laser strikes at you. Focus on dodging, as the Demon will remain airborne for the entire attack. |

| Flickering Blade |
The Demon of Obsession waves its blades in front, triggering a pseudo-clash if you attack during the move and dealing damage if you’re within range. |

The Demon of Obsession charges its blade and rapidly fires magic waves forward. As it begins charging, create distance immediately to avoid the attack. |
| Shadow Lunge |
The Demon of Obsession wields two blades, one physical and one magical, then lunges toward you in quick succession. Clash or deflect for the best results, though dodging to the side also works. |
| Slicing Zephyr |
The Demon of Obsession spins and produces a tornado toward you. You'll get knocked into the air if you get hit. Dodge forward to avoid the attack. |

In the Depths of the Capital, interact with the gate and respond with the wheel turns anew
to teleport to Shrine Dwelling. Activate the nearby shrine, then proceed through the area to reach the boss arena.
