Gunpowder spear will be the main weapon as the spear can gain multiple stacks of Boldheart, allowing for cycling back and forth to Li Jiao's Fang. Aerial Bulwark is the chosen Discipline as it grants 4 Skyborn Might.

Li Jia's Fang is the chosen secondary weapon primarily due to Draconic Bombard. This setup allows the build to continue firing bullets and swap to cannon fire whenever it has 3 Skyborn Might.

The Disciplinary Force set is on the Gunpowder Spear as it will be the main weapon of the build, allowing it to deal high damage while also stacking Boldheart. While the Benedictions set on Li Jiao's Fang aim to increase the damage of Draconic Bombard and allow it to instantly apply Burn to enemies.

You'll want to stack on Strength and Agility Nodes while also obtaining multiple discipline skills to activate the bonus for the Disciplinary Force set. Take most Nodes in the Spear Tree for increased damage on Gunpowder Spear.

Afterwards, take the strength nodes in the Axe Tree on your way to get Colossal Smash. Move to the Longsword Tree for more Agility Nodes. Then complete the build by taking stamina nodes from the Dual Blades tree.

As the build can be played from any range, we recommend equipping armor that has high Feathering resistance, as most enemies in the late game deal Feathering. Depending on which boss you're fighting, feel free to swap any armor piece you need.

The Pearl, Tiger, and Eagle Pendants will be a source of damage boost for all your attacks. The Pearl pendant can be swappable, as this only affects the bullets from the Gunpowder Spear.

Temperance and Acupoints

Shadow Stone Needle - StrengthShadow Stone Needle - Strength Taps into your acupoint to slightly increase the Strength Control of the weapon you're wielding.
Everlight Stone Needle - ContinuityEverlight Stone Needle - Continuity Stimulate your meridians to increase the duration of Tempering.
Shadow Stone Needle - AgilityShadow Stone Needle - Agility Taps into your acupoint to slightly increase the Agility Control of the weapon you're wielding.

The Leech bone needle is the best to use for the build as it allows you to heal while stacking Boldheart. For your Acupoints, it's best to take the Agility and Strength needles for your weapon scaling. Make sure to equip the Continuity needle to prolong your leech buff.

The Mana Vase, along with your Temperance (Leech), is your main sources of healing. Since both weapons equipped increase the power of your throwables, it's best to equip Fire Pots and Niter Fire Pots to deal damage during idle moments.

Playstyle Tips

Encounter Rotation

  1. Imbue your Gunpowder Spear with Leech using Temperance
  2. Keep attacking to gain at least 8 Boldheart stacks.
  3. Use Aerial Bulwark to gain 4 Skyborn Might and use the follow-up attack.
  4. Use Swift Draw to cast Draconic Bombardment from Li Jiao's fang.
  5. Use Swift Draw again to use Flame Strike and convert Boldheart into Skyborn Might.
  6. Use Swift Draw to cast Draconic Bombardment again.
