Weapon Scaling in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers refers to the incremental damage increase of weapons as the game progresses. See an explanation for how damage scaling works and how stat investment impacts weapon damage here!
List of Contents

The level under the stat icon indicates the scaling level of the weapon towards the stat that it's under. The higher level means that the weapon gains more damage increase when you allocate more of the corresponding stat. Level 1 is the lowest level, while Level 6 is the highest.
For example, the Gunpowder Spear has an Agility level scaling of 5 and a Strength level scaling of 2. This means the weapon gains more damage increase by allocating more into Agility.
Stat nodes are important for weapon scaling as increasing your stats increases weapon damage, depending on the weapon.
Weapons like the Lashing Whip, are affected by both Strength and Agility, making its weapon scaling much greater compared to Cloudfrost's Edge as Agility is the sole stat impacting it.
Therefore, increasing agility and strength nodes can increase the damage output of different weapons in battle, letting players explore different types of builds without having to choose one stat over the other.

The Mastery level of a weapon increases the stat-scaling level of a weapon. By taking Weapon Mastery nodes in the Impetus Repository, every weapon of that type increases its stat-scaling level. Weapon Mastery refers to the +1 the weapon receives after its upgrade.
Stats increase different damage types for each weapon, but they are generally easy to discern. Strength and Agility stats increase a weapon's physical damage, while Magic stats only increase the damage of Magic-type spells.
Feathering also increases the damage of Feathering-type spells, while also increasing the damage of some Weapon Skills and Discipline Skills that use Feathering.
